"Dreadful experience. We had been customers of Astacio since 2015 when they installed our first tankless boiler which failed completely after 7 years and needed to be replaced in late 2022. ($10,000+) Their second one just stopped working; a dodgy board? The part is under warranty but they want almost $1,000 to replace it in the boiler; probably less than 2 hours work. I thought they used to be a good local business with ties to the community but be careful; their tankless boilers are unreliable and they'll try to rip you off when your heat goes out in the winter. So much for standing by their work. I'll never use them again."

Snaking a drain can take as little as a few minutes for small, simple clogs, up to two hours or more for tough clogs located further down the drain line. For tougher clogs, a professional drain cleaner can likely get the job done much more quickly because they have the necessary tools and expertise. Start by pouring hot—but not boiling—water down the drain. The heat of the water may be enough to break down the clog.   • Trash cans for everything that shouldn’t go down the drain, like dental floss, hygiene products, and cat litter.

Using less toilet paper is the easiest way to prevent future clogs. Also, avoid flushing sanitary products, thick paper towels, or hair down the toilet. If you’ve been using a brick in the tank to reduce the water used to flush the toilet, take it out immediately. Bricks will eventually fall apart and clog your toilet drain. Keeping your toilet lid closed also helps avoid future clogs.
