He became inpatient at the time it was taking and wasn't paying attention to both buckets. He let one overflow onto the floor (a little spillage in this situation is to be expected, and why I cleared the area) but then he removed the cap completely from one cleanout and got himself into the position of being on a stool with a full bucket and the cap on the floor out of reach, while the pipe continued to gush out onto the floor, spreading to where i had moved everything. He got down from the stool and instead of putting the cap back in, tried to arrange buckets to catch the water coming from the pipe. While that was proving unsuccesful, I got up on the stool and put the cap back in to stem the flow of water. Then I had to quickly get my shop vac to pick up the water spreading around my basement. He eventually came back downstairs with his, but by that time i had cleaned it all up. If I hadn't been there watching him through the whole process, i would have had a lot of things ruined.
While I was emptying my shop vac, he opened the main cap prematurely and sprayed sewage all over. He eventually found the broken pipe issue and cleared the drain the best he could, which got the system working again.
He then had the nerve to charge me an extra $100 over his estimate. With the mess he made, I was expecting a break on the price. I didn't even get so much as an apology.
Discount drain was not a discount. Stay away from this company.
