"The deck itself is fantastic. There are some small things that could have been built better. The major problems were communication and supervision. The contractor couldn't tell me when work was going to be performed, when supplies were going to be delivered etc. The foundation holes were initially not dug deep enough, a week went by before that was rectified, and more time to wait for the building inspector to come out again to measure. On the last day of work, the contractor actually asked me to pay for the permit. He said he was losing money on the job. I understand that the price of materials has gone up, but not in the 8 weeks since he estimated the job. Extremely unprofessional."
