Installation of all types of fireplaces including brick/stone work, Chimney sweeps/cleaning, Installation of all types of interior or exterior gas lines and gas pits, Inspections of chimney/fireplaces and repairs, any and all masonry work and installation of chimney caps and chase cover

"This rating is for Monroe Contracting and Remodeling located at 77 Hickory Manor Drive Rochester, NY 14606, not Monroe Contracting located at 56 Simmons Street Rochester, NY. The Angies List software will not allow me to add a contractor not listed on Angies List, apparently. A chimney inspection was contracted before a purchase of a house in Brighton, NY a few days before Thanksgiving 2018. Mr. McGill took the job on short notice. I immediate left my home in Avon,Ny and drove to Brighton, a 25 minute journey to attend the inspection. When I arrived the owner stated Mr. McGill had left 10 minutes before. I tried to contact Mr. McGill the next day (the day before Thanksgiving) for the results of the inspection. His phone went to messaging and he would not return my calls. Emails were ignored. He did contact the Realtor handling the transaction and verbally stated "everything was okay and I'll send a report". Repeated calls and emails were not answered. The Saturday after Thanksgiving, our Realtor stated the owners were going to re-list the house on Monday if we didn't have progress on the chimney inspection. More calls and emails to Mr. McGill went unanswered. Finally on late Sunday night our Realtor got an email with the chimney inspection results. Mr. McGill stated he was out of cell and internet service service areas. Really? Both services not covered? Extraordinary that we almost lost the purchase of a house and could have been held responsible for breach of contract because Mr. McGill was out of complete contact from civilization!? Not attentive to his customers needs. Not communicative. Uncooperative. And how could he have performed a though inspection in 15 minutes? Granted it was close to Thanksgiving, but if could not have performed a though inspection and followed up with a report why not refuse the job and let us find someone who would? Extremely unprofessional."

When it comes to heating and cooling your home, you’re not just buying a furnace or air conditioning unit; you’re buying a company, a customer service team, the quality and integrity they represent. Whether it’s an emergency repair, an upgrade or replacement, or a brand-new installation, it’s the total experience that counts, and that’s where Isaac excels! Whatever your situation, Isaac’s highly trained professionals will educate you about your options and help you decide which solution is best for your needs and budget. We’ve been part of the local community for more than 70 years. And we’re proud to stand behind our heating and air conditioning products and our work.

"Use literally anyone but Isaacs. They will take $50k+ of your money and leave you with inoperable, disfunctional heating/ac throughout your entire house. Then do absolutely nothing to help you. They will say over and over how they will make it right. When in reality they will do absolutely nothing to fix the problem. It has been nothing but a nightmare trying to work with Isaacs. I could not regret hiring them more. It's been 6 months of pure torture."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

The easiest way to empty a propane tank is to simply use it until no propane remains. If you’re short on time and need a faster solution, transfer the propane to another tank instead. Wear leather gloves to protect your hands, then connect the hoses from both propane tanks and seal them tightly. Turn the knob to open the supply tank valve on the full tank and let it run until the pressure pushes all the propane into the other tank. When all propane is transferred, remove the hose and seal each tank.

Fixing a gas leak costs about $45 to $150 per hour for a plumber or gas line specialist. The job’s overall cost will vary depending on the location of the leak. A leaky junction or connection behind the stove or dryer will likely cost about $120 to $170. But for a leak that requires a gas fitter or plumber to excavate a pipe in the yard, the cost could rise to $1,500 to $5,000. Keep in mind that gas leaks are very serious issues, so don’t hesitate to contact a plumber or gas line specialist immediately.

Comprehensive checks, utilizing proper materials, and immediate leak testing.

Common signs of gas line leaks include a rotten egg smell, hissing sounds, dead plants around the area of the leak, and unexplained physical symptoms like dizziness and nausea. If you notice any of these signs, act immediately. Shut off the gas supply to your home and call a pro to assess the situation.

Even though their jobs sound similar—both professions work on pipes—a plumber and pipefitter actually have very different jobs, and pipefitting isn’t considered plumbing. Pipefitting is done in commercial and industrial buildings and factories, and the pipes carry gas, chemicals, acid, and other potentially hazardous substances. Pipefitters often work in intense conditions while plumbers may work in lower-pressure environments.
