"We needed to have some of my father's furniture removed. The two gentlemen arrived on time and completed everything in a timely manner. They were friendly and courteous and were a pleasure to work with. I wish they were in NJ - I would use them for myself in a heartbeat."

"The guys did a fantastic job! Our house is brand new. Grass seed was planted but not yet mowed. The guys did a terrific job cutting down grass that in some places was three feet high. They weed wacked and edged. They cleaned up after themselves. My yard went from looking like a jungle to now a gorgeous back yard. Im so happy with the results of their work. I also thought the guys were great! They were on time, extremely pleasant, and hard working. I could tell that they value their customers and they work."

They were here when they said they would be, very respectful and above everything else - they did an phenomenal job. I will have them back in the spring for additional work. I would highly recommend them to anyone."

"We hired Isaman’s to landscape our newly purchased vacation/rental home in Bemus Point and increase our parking area by removing existing grassy area and filling it in with stone. We could not be happier with the entire job. Brandon was so easy to work with and his crew was polite, professional and extremely hard working. They went above and beyond what was expected. We have never had a better experience! They are highly recommended!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?

If lead is detected in a property, steps should include arranging for professional removal or containment, notifying all occupants, and implementing interim safety measures to reduce exposure.

If your roof was constructed between 1930 and 1970, there’s a possibility that the shingles contain asbestos. If that’s the case, you should hire a professional for repairs and replacement, as they’ll have the necessary equipment to stay safe from such a hazardous and cancer-causing substance. If your home was constructed after this period, it’s unlikely that the shingles in place are toxic. In most cases, asbestos shingles are not recyclable, while standard asphalt shingles are recyclable.

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.
