"Adam was great to work with, small local businessman found by google search. Primary focus is long term customer relations so equipment estimate was appropriate for install -vs- upsell at every opportunity. Project was less expensive than most vendors in part for not selling name brand highly advertised company logos. My equipment was a HEIL AC unit - my existing unit was 2 years beyond life expectancy when I moved into my home and it lasted for 6 more years prior to replacement so I have no concerns over reliability. Request estimates, *a lot of them* for comparison - encountered many silly problems with many companies. One sales person arrived 30 minutes late for an appointment. Another was offended by having to compete with other vendors. One estimate arrived in the mail two weeks after asserting "ready that afternoon" citing price but no equipment detail. "construction included" - some estimators are cavalier about finding work. Yes I am already aware of those issues -- repeating several times *WE* will do work in *YOUR* home followed by making those items a required dependency for the project, thank you for playing but no. All of these items can be worked on separately, there is no need to work on/bill for three major projects in one sitting. One for ex, if a homeowner is replacing plumbing pipes and will later install a humidifier there is no need for your installation to include the cost of labor for "plumbing installation". I encountered none of this nonsense working with Veritas. No high pressure sales or badgering about the sale, determine what was needed and schedule an install if you plan to hire them. Adam has experience as both a service technician and later on as a project mgr and lead for planning and larger installations. This background knowledge is essential for creating an accurate estimation, if equipment size, fans, etc are not properly matched to the HVAC ducting there will be problems with equipment freezing or being inadequate. This is one area where "bigger is always better" will not be a good answer. Also one suggestion, research equipment vendors beyond the company website. Nothing instills confidence in "we stand behind our products" quite like reading details of a class action lawsuit brought against a well known vendor for unreliable equipment. The company in question did provide replacement parts free of charge for defective elements but left customers with $1000.00+ service call/labor bill for a tech to diagnose and replace the parts. I have no concerns about vendors or long their long term equipment support for the units suggested and installed. In summary I would have no concerns recommending Veritas based on my experience and their service to date."
