"We could not be happier with the service we were provided with and their pricing was VERY affordable. Finding an honest, family owned business is hard these days, well you have found it. Not only was the owner very, very friendly and informative over the phone, he came to our house during the service call and was one of the NICEST people we have ever met. His workers arrived at the stroke of 7:30am, the exact time we were told, they were super nice, knowledgeable, clean and even texted us beforehand to let us know they were on their way. WE HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. They really gave us a great price for emptying our two cesspools and the service was done in a timely manner and our lawn was not left a mess. TWO BIG THUMBS UP! We would definitely use them again in a minute."

"The two gentlemen from All Island Sewer and Drain arrived promptly, assessed the condition of my sewer main and methodically cleared out the pipe. They provided excellent craftsmanship and service by integrating modern technology (high quality video imaging) with state of the art “electric snake” to clear the blockage. They also identified the source of the problem (a partially ruptured sewer pipe under my lawn) which will be addressed at a later date. Their fees were also very reasonable. The work area was left in pristine condition and I will definitely be calling them back, to make the permanent repairs when I’m ready…truly a first class organization. A two-way cleanout can help if there’s already a clog, but the best strategy to prevent one is by not rinsing grease, oil, or fat down your drains, not flushing or rinsing coffee grounds or egg shells down your drains, flushing only human waste and toilet paper (so no diapers, period products, bathroom wipes, or paper towels), and using drain guards on all of your drains.

Your sewer line can get grimy quickly. To prevent sludge buildup in your sewer line, pour a mixture of 1/3 cup of vinegar and 1/3 cup of baking soda down each drain in your home once a month. After about 30 minutes, flush the drain with hot water.

Some plumbers recommend 3/4 cup of bleach instead to clean any germs and bacteria that may build up in your sewer line. But this won’t break down any active clogs, and it cannot be combined with vinegar, as the mixture will create a toxic, hazardous gas.
