"28x36 concrete pad poured for a new garage. If you are wondering who to choose, these guys are it. They worked through ran, darkness (with work lights), late hours to ensure our pad was done. The result is smooth and well framed, the team cleaned up the site well, and hauled away the extra dirt from the excavation. Would definitely use for future projects."

Customers say: True professional

"I cannot truly express how happy I am with the work Jeff performed for us. We asked him to install a stone patio & porch with a wall. Jeff is very knowledgeable in his profession. He did a fantastic job of explaining exactly the steps he would take to complete the project. Jeff was extremely responsive to all my questions and requirements. We had a very short deadline for the work to be completed. He went out of his way to rearrange his schedule in order to meet my deadline. In fact, he completed the project 2 weeks earlier than he originally promised. Jeff is meticulous in the work he does. His work is of the highest quality. He pays attention to every detail to ensure it is perfect. His quote was very reasonable. I consider the work he performed a great value for the money. Jeff not only met all my expectations he exceeded all of them. He was a real pleasure to work with. My patio & porch are just beautiful and I am really enjoying it. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend him."

"We?ve had Mike from Boldscapes complete two projects for us ? one this spring/summer and one last fall ? and he has been fantastic to work with. Mike is a true craftsman ? meticulous, detail-oriented, and a real perfectionist in everything he does. He?s also a great communicator who keeps you informed every step of the way, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Mike is incredibly creative and has a real artist?s eye. He?s great at envisioning a space and bringing that vision to life in ways that turn out even better than you imagined. You can tell he?s genuinely excited and enthusiastic about his work, and he?s a very hard worker who shows up ready to go. We especially loved how he thinks outside the box, suggests fresh design ideas, and isn?t afraid to try new things to make the final result special. His pricing is very reasonable for the high quality of work he delivers. We wish we had more projects lined up just so we could keep working with him!"

Patios questions, answered by experts

If you’re trying to decide between a sunroom and a screened-in porch, the right choice will depend on your priorities. A screened-in porch costs only a fraction of the price of a sunroom, but in exchange, it has much more limited use. A sunroom will add more value to your home, but at a much higher up-front cost and longer construction timeline.

Yes, but ensuring the deck has a solid foundation with adequate footings is critical before building, as the weight of a sunroom will put significant pressure on the structure below. Even if your deck is properly constructed, it may not be able to handle the extra weight. While some basic, lightweight, prefabricated sunrooms can sit on a deck with a strong existing foundation without additional supports, in many cases, the foundation and joists will need reinforcement. It is always best to have a structural engineer perform an inspection to evaluate the deck's quality and structural integrity. A professional can help you decide if reinforcement is sufficient or if it's better to tear down the deck and start over.

The average cost to screen-in your patio ranges from $2,000 to $4,000. How much you spend depends on the size of your patio, the materials used, and construction complexity. Some patio screen room kits are easy to DIY, but you may need to hire a local screened-in porch builder and obtain permits for more complex designs.

A solarium is a luxury addition to a home and can be an excellent breakfast area or reading space, but that doesn't mean there aren't disadvantages. For one, since the room is made of glass it can look dirty very quickly. Another disadvantage is solariums are notoriously hard to balance temperature and will most likely significantly increase your heating and air conditioning bill. Unlike a greenhouse addition to a house, a solarium won’t help you grow as many plants.

Sustainable materials and energy-efficient designs support greener construction options.
