What can we say, Doug of Artisan Renovations, did a wonderful, detailed job in creating our new deck, working though the rain and crazy heat. Using TimberTech colored materials consisting of kona and slate gray, Doug also replaced the hardware for our pool lights and patio outlets.

Excellent! Artisan Renivations is an appropriate name for a gifted contractor. Doug’s attention to details and creative problem solving was the best! He is a dependable worker, showing up and working every day until completion.He was pleasant and flexible, accommodating our every request.. He made prudent suggestions and the result is beautiful and functional. We highly recommend Artisan Renovations, and will definitely hire again.

I Doug built and installed our deck in 2021 and we can’t say enough about what a positive experience it was! He was extremely reliable and easy to communicate with and open to design changes/ideas. The deck is everything we envisioned and is holding up wonderfully against the elements so far. The remodel was a very large project. Doug (Artisan) did a fantastic job with all the different aspects and did high quality work. We have been showing off the work he did and have hired him for another project! I highly recommend Artisan Renovations!

We are extremely pleased with the 1/2 bath total remodel and reconstruction of the outdoor deck with composite materials. Doug is a very skilled craftsman who takes pride in his work with attention to detail as evident by the end results. His daily presence from day one until completion was appreciated. The work was terrific! We did a complete redo of the kitchen and master bath including a new layout and moving walls. Everything was done with excellent quality and professionalism.

We hired Doug Marquart/Artisan Renovations to update our kitchen. Job was completed on time as quoted. Workmanship was excellent. We couldn’t be more satisfied. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire Doug for any project.

My wife and I hired Artisan Renovations to do our kitchen remodel. We chose him because he came up with a great design for our kitchen and his estimate was very reasonable. On day one, he put up plastic walls around our kitchen to minimize the spread of dust to the rest of our house. He worked very hard to finish up any projects before leaving for the day. He was very respectful of our dogs and my working from home situation. At the end, there were no surprise expenses. My wife and I are extremely happy with the way the kitchen turned out. Several of our family members have already asked for his card after seeing our kitchen. We will definitely hire him again when it's time for the next project.

We cannot say enough good things about Doug and his work. This was a big project that took over a month to complete, but it went flawlessly from start to finish. Everything Doug did was meticulous, and he made sure that we were happy at every step of the way. When there were unexpected issues or when things were going to cost more than he quoted, he explained everything in detail and made sure we understood our options before moving forward. He also ended up doing a few little extra things that weren't in the original scope of work that he didn't charge us for. He really went above and beyond to make sure that all the details were just right, and he was always willing to help us make decisions or adjust his plan slightly to fit our preferences. In addition to the quality of work, we really appreciated that Doug was prompt and reliable (he showed up at exactly the same time every morning and worked full days--he wasn't juggling our project with others), and communicated with us regularly via text. He put up plastic sheets every day to protect the rest of our house from dust, and left the work area incredibly clean and tidy every evening. Plus, he's just a really nice guy...which matters when he's in your house every day for a month! Even our dog loved him. We got multiple quotes on this project, and although Doug's was competitive, it wasn't the lowest...but it was worth every penny. We would hire him again with no hesitation.

I've been around an in construction for 36 years and Doug Marquart's attention to detail along with his fine workmanship makes him one of the best mechanics I've come across .

Everything went very well. Doug is pleasant and enjoyable to work with. His estimate was fair, and he stayed within it, adjusting for changes we requested to the original plan. All work was high quality and completed in a timely way. We were very pleased, and he will be the person we call for any renovation or other work we need to have done that is within his scope of expertise.

I’m a little late in writing this review- Doug built my husband and I a composite deck back in July (12x24). He is such a hard worker! It took him one week to complete by himself- he even worked through rain! My neighbors were so impressed they wanted to hire him as well! I would absolutely recommend him and plan on hiring him again! Thanks Doug!!

We had Doug build a new Azek composite deck with Azek raiilings. The job took around three weeks(very large job). Everything was perfect down to the smallest detail. Would highly recommend Doug to everyone.

This contractor is awesome! Tell him what you would like built and he will build it. Pressure treated deck and cedar rails. We also wanted an area to cook under, so in addition to the 24x32 deck Doug made us a 12x12 area to cook under! The footers are unbelievable! He is a man after detail. Before leaving each day the site is picked up. There are No short cuts. The materials are all premium. Oh, forgot to mention- he loves concrete. Our deck and porch will never move!!! And we will be calling for more projects! Matter of fact: we are on the schedule for a new front porch this spring!

Doug is a one-man show, taking care of creating the plans, getting the building permit, arranging the required inspections by the town, demolishing and carting away our old deck, digging and pouring footings, and laying out and constructing the new deck. The final result was excellent, and we now have a sturdy deck that not only looks great, but will last a long time. Doug did a fine job coping with a lot of rain and the resulting mud, slowing things down as he had to remove a fair amount of excess mud and cart it away. In the process, much of our lawn was damaged by his equipment but Doug went the extra mile, volunteering to spread a load of top soil and grass seed to help everything get back in shape. If it weren’t for all the rain, this level of damage would not have occurred. The only possible, but small, drawback was that he works completely alone, resulting in a total construction time that was a bit longer than if a crew of people were working. Doug estimated the job at 5 days, and if it weren’t for all the issues with rain and mud, one delay in the delivery of out-of stock materials, and a half day family emergency he had to take care of, that guess would have been spot on. All along, he was responsive to our questions and communications, and easy to work with. My feeling is that he might cost a bit more than other potential contractors, but his workmanship and desire to satisfy the customer make the extra costs worth it.

Excellent. Doug is very professional and personable, easy to work with. He started on June 5 and finished the job on June 11, working between rain showers and without a crew! He provided three different estimates for me to review and worked with me to keep my project within budget. I can't say enough about the quality of his work and the ease it was to work with him. I trusted him from the beginning that he would deliver. Thank you Doug!

If you are thinking of a total master bathroom remodel, I highly recommend Doug from Artisan Renovations. He has an excellent work ethic and does quality work. We had our bath completely gutted and moved existing tub, toilet and vanity. No problem! When removing tile floor, several inches of concrete were found. No problem! He responded to every challenge with a can do attitude. Just about everything in the room is new. Upon seeing our bathroom, friends asked for his card. I would trust him with any remodel. He took pictures of completed project. If they aren’t on his website, ask to see them. Last, but not least, our dog loved him.

I never write reviews outside my Amazon purchases and have had many contractors to my home over the years and I can honestly say that Artisan Renovations just delivered in every way on this assignment, Their attention to detail and determination to finish the project on time with the highest quality outcome was impressive. The deck turned out better than we had hoped and we could not be more pleased with our dealing with Artisan. This is a AAA contractor with an impressive and rare work ethic. We could not be happier with the work done and quality of the finished deck.

Doug was great to work with. Completed job quickly, including demolition/removal, digging posts/pouring concrete, and build of new deck and two sets of stairs. Very professional. Highly recommend.

From start to finish, Doug Marquart of Artisan Renovations was professional, prompt, efficient and detailed in his work. His eye for detail is exceptional and his ability to make revisions and offer suggestions was very helpful. He is an excellent craftsman as well as a fine coordinator of tasks and process. My kitchen involved a complete gutting of the space as well as the removal of a wall, rewiring electric, installation of new wood flooring in the kitchen and hall, refinishing of the balance of the living room, installation of cabinetry, countertops, lighting and appliances, painting of the kitchen, dining room and living room areas. Doug also easily moves with changes so that the project came out even better than I had hoped. He answered all my questions and kept me up to date on the process at every step. I would definitely recommend him and would hire him again!

Both bathrooms renovations surpassed our expectations. Doug is easy to work with. His does beautiful tile work. He's careful to lay down drop cloths and sets up a plastic wall barrier to reduce the amount of dust from escaping the work area. At the end of each day, he removes the drop cloths and cleans up his work area. I will definitely consider using him for future home renovation projects. The fall renovation of a full bath came to about 18k and the spring renovation of the half bath to full bath came to about 13k.

Doug was prompt, clean and completed the work on schedule. He listened to what we wanted and made recommendations based upon our opinions. We are extremely pleased with the work and would definitely hire him again for other projects. Actually, this was the second project he did for us.

Doug was patient with our questions and needs and took the time to listen and explain. Doug had a contract and construction information that included all pricing and designs quickly and efficiently. We knew what we were getting as well as when and the cost right off the bat! Needless to say his craftsmanship is outstanding as well as his work ethic. Worksite cleaned up everyday. Nothing left for us to do but enjoy the finished deck. I would not hesitate to use Doug again for our needs in the future. Very satisfied. Doug also provides a one year warranty on his work.
