We service all of Long Island and NYC at both residential and commercial sites. Our goal is to continue to build dreams and relationships that last generations to come. We are determined to create a difference, raise the standards and exceed client expectations

"I’ll try to make this short and to the point - The man is a good man, means well, and a man of faith - The estimate he gave me for the job was 17k. I added to the work so I expected it to cost a bit more. The time frame was 3 weeks to finish the work. I had to meet deadlines with insurance and financing - We missed every single dead line by a long shot even though he confidently said we had enough time to finish. A job the was supposed to take 3 weeks, took a little under 4 months and was still incomplete. All along, John was asking for checks and I never not gave him a check. The total I paid out was $34,000. Eventually I spoke to him and told him that overtime I came to check up on the house - he was not there and his one guy he has working for him has been compounded for weeks and nothing is getting done, meanwhile I’m writing checks. I then gave him a list of 28 things that needed to get done - a week later, when only 2 of those things were done - I told him I would only pay him if he produces. He didn’t like the sound of that and simply stopped coming. I reached out to him and he told me he went to his country for the weekend - he shows up a week later asking for another check without producing any more work, when I refused, he txt paged me calling me a pu$$y and how I don’t want to pay for work I get done. Today, the 3 shelves he put on in my shower all fell off because he glued them on. The brand new light switches have paint on them - 4 of the doors he put on don’t close. The floor he sanded so much is so thin that they squeak everywhere they did not squeak before, the washer dryer set up flooded my basement once and tripped the GFI - and the bathroom tile job he did is absolutely uneven and slopped up - not to mention that the lights in my house flicker. I called an electrician to come take a look - John said they flicker because I bought my fixtures from china - meanwhile the electrician fixed the problem in 5 minutes - the problem was that the electricity John did was not even grounded. All in all - the guy absolutely does not know his line of business from a hole in the wall - as good a person he may be - I wouldn’t let him work on my project if he paid me for it. Look else where and you’ll find that a shoe maker will do a better paint job even."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Insulating under a concrete slab foundation is a great way to improve the energy efficiency of your home, but it isn't necessary for outdoor projects like driveways, patios, sidewalks, and walkways. If you’re pouring in cold weather, insulating under the slab can help prevent heat loss from the concrete, aiding in proper curing. Along with accelerants, this can be a good way to ensure strong concrete despite pouring in the cold.

A radiant barrier is worth the money if you live in a hot, sunny climate. Over time, you should be able to recoup your investment through lower energy bills. Though it can vary depending on where you live and the type of barrier you choose, you might be able to reduce your electric bill by as much as 5% to 10% after installing a radiant barrier.

Garden blankets and frost cloths are the best things to use to protect trees and plants from frost. They are made from polypropylene fabric, which is lightweight, breathable, and dries fast. If you can’t get garden blankets or frost cloths before the freeze, you should use lightweight blankets, sheets, or towels.

Yes, you can use too much bubble wrap. If you overdo it with the wrapping, it can strain the top of your box and break open the taped seal, risking the chance that the contents of the box could fall out or break. Use enough wrapping to fully cover your item without compromising the security of your box.

Opting for insulated ducts can lead to significant long-term savings on your energy bills and contribute to a more efficient HVAC system. The precise amount you can save depends on various factors, including your climate, usage patterns, and the insulation's quality. However, on average, insulated ducts can result in savings of up to 20% on your annual heating and cooling costs, according to ENERGY STAR®.
