Customers say: Quality work

"James was a pleasure to deal with, friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. We needed our concrete garage floor replaced, involving removal of old concrete and pouring new concrete. It turned out there was some water under the old floor (well under grade) so James added plastic sheeting under the new floor. Also pointed steps. He brought as many a 5 workers to the job, all appearing very competent. The work looks great. Would definitely recommend Rock Solid."

Customers say: Quick response

"Antonio and team repaired a retaining wall in the outdoor stairwell to the basement, and built a fence with gate around it for safety. They also leveled my stone patio. The work was high quality and Antonio was extremely responsive. I got three quotes and theirs was most competitive, and they were available within a few days."

"Our roof had leaked water through the ceiling in a second floor apartment after a heavy rainstorm. Steve and his crew stopped by the next day to look at the repairs needed to my roof. He sent me pictures of the areas on the roof that were missing shingles and spot pointing that was needed on my chimney. Steve sent me a written estimate for the scope of the work and included a 1 year guarantee for the repair work. Steve and his crew came out the very next day and completed all the repairs. Steve sent me a lot of pictures of the completed work. Steve also gave me an estimate to repair the water damaged ceiling inside the apartment. They are fast, reliable and their price is fair and reasonable. I will definitely call DHA Construction Corp for my future roof and gutter repairs."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The total drying time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it needs to harden fully to prevent the concrete slab from shifting under added weight. You should avoid walking on the concrete or placing heavy items like furniture or vehicles on the surface until it has fully set. Your concrete contractor can provide a precise timeline. As a point of comparison, if you opt for polyjacking, the polyurethane foam can dry in minutes, but it's recommended to wait about an hour before use.

The average cost for mudjacking is around $1,200, though prices can range from $300 to $3,400. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $8, with an average of about $5 per square foot. The final cost depends on several factors, including the square footage of the concrete, the type of slab, its accessibility, whether it is load-bearing, and the type of material used to lift it. Generally, lifting a driveway, small patio, or sidewalk is less expensive than lifting a slab foundation or garage floor.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.

Most projects take 1-3 hours, with immediate usability after completion.
