"We had a vision for what our backyard would be with a pool and Vance and Nick exceeded our dreams and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect!!!! "3 weeks prior to memorial day, I hired Chad and Perfectpoolsandspas to install an above ground pool. Chad did as promised prior to memorial day. Chad even threw in a free maintenance kit and winter cover. Yard and driveway was a bit messy after installation so i needed a landscaper and a good power washing, but i guess that is expected since i live on a hill. Would recommend this service for wanting a pool done in a speedy time frame. Thanks."

Infinity pools do require slightly more maintenance than other pools because you’ll need to constantly monitor the water level. If the water level is out of whack, it won’t correctly flow over the edge, which gives the pool its infinity look. 

That said, the rest of the maintenance is largely dependent on the type of material you choose. Concrete needs a little extra care to prevent algae growth, and you will eventually need to resurface it. Fiberglass and vinyl liners are algae-resistant but they’re not as durable.

You should add chlorine within 48 hours of filling your pool with water. In just 24 hours, bacteria and algae will begin to grow and contaminate your water. After that point, you’ll need to shock the water with high levels of chlorine, and you’ll likely need to do additional vacuuming to get the pool clean. It’s important to check your chlorine levels two to three times a week and add more chlorine as needed to maintain a healthy level.

You can have an automatic pool cover with a saltwater pool, but it’s important to know that the small levels of salt in your pool can eventually corrode the metal parts of the pool cover. This means you’ll have to keep your unit clean, especially the reels, pulleys, and tracks. As with any other pool cover, test your chlorine levels weekly and keep them on the lower end of the threshold.

If you want your pool to be ready for summer, spring is the perfect time to put in an inground pool. However, if you are concerned about cost and are looking to save money, you can wait until fall and winter, when some companies may offer discounts on pools and pool materials.

The lifespan of a semi-aboveground pool depends on the lining, but they last between seven and 15 years on average. This is right in line with what you can expect from a standard aboveground pool. In comparison, an in-ground pool can last up to 75 years with a well-maintained concrete liner.
