"Very well. The provider, Bill, came to my home to give me an estimate. The estimate was right on. The crew arrived to do the work right when they were scheduled. Bill was on-site every day and explained exactly the process. The crew was also very informative and kept me up to date on what was going on. The floor looks great. You can also purchase a fire pit project kit, which will sometimes come with fire-safe pavers, to help you avoid the guessing game of buying pavers separately.

If pavers are uneven but not sunken, lift the affected bricks and check the bedding sand underneath. In many cases, simply smoothing out or adjusting the sand is enough to level them. Add or remove small amounts as needed, then press the pavers back into place and tap them with a mallet until they sit evenly with the surrounding surface.

You should place a layer of thick landscaping fabric directly over the concrete slab and then a thin layer of leveling sand over that to protect the pavers from moisture. Polymeric sand will take between 24 and 48 hours to fully cure, so do not walk on your paver walkway before this time.
