"I contacted several local companies when I wanted to get estimates for central A/C installation. I heard about JSP through the list serve at my place of employment and since the review was very positive I added them to my list. Four companies came out, one company never returned my calls to follow up for the quote, another suggested a system that I knew wouldn't work in my home (not enough attic space) and two companies followed through. JSP was one of those companies and what made the difference were the following: 1) JSP stands behind it's estimate and product. Your installation won't wind up being $1,000 more because of X, Y & Z - when they give you an estimate - that's the estimate. 2) They are THOROUGH. Not only did the technician take time to ask my my needs, my family's lifestyle and walk through and around the outside of my home - he thought about aesthetics as well. 3) The estimate is provided on the spot, hand-written, and explained in detail in case there are any questions. Before beginning work they send out someone to do a walk-through to make sure every i is dotted and t is crossed BEFORE work begins. 5) Staff. THIS is where I cannot say enough. My situation was not the normal situation of someone calling to have Central A/C installed - there were extenuating circumstances and Ellen not only listened but she remembered, EVERY time that I spoke to her. I called JSP in February so the timing wasn't urgent and I made it clear that I had time . . . if Ellen and I went three weeks without speaking because of vacations, holidays, or because I just didn't get to it - she remembered me as if we had spoken the day before. I didn't feel like a "customer" - I felt like part of their family, as corny as that sounds. My calls were answered the same day, even if they weren't pressing and even after 5 pm. John, the owner, came out himself and spoke with me about my options as I looked to finalize what was discussed in February. I've never had such amazing customer service for something household related. You'd expect that when going to a spa, a hotel or buying a car - but in this case, they went above and beyond. I really cannot recommend JSP enough. If you want to work with a company that cares about your needs, preferences and your family - they're the ones to go with. If you don't care about service or follow through then you can go with anyone - but I truly believe JSP has the right idea about customer service and I hope they continue to grow as the good guys should. *No, I am not related to anyone nor did I know anyone at JSP prior to calling them for an estimate!*"

"Purchased the deal in the evening on Friday Feb 12, 2016. At time of purchase I advised vendor that best way to reach me is by email or Angie's messaging. Also provided two possible dates in March for the work. Winston responded the next day via Angie's message, and we set up the service date for my  next weekday off, March 2. And I sent him some pictures of the plumbing and street valve. Could not get a commitment on an arrival time, but he called me that morning and advised he had a 9am dentist appointment, and would arrive after that. Showed up with his helper about 1.5 hours later. We could not get the street valve cover off, and thought it belonged to the city, so I made arrangements for Winston to come back today, March 15.
I called the city water dept, and they sent someone over, he said it was not their valve, it was mine and he couldn't touch it, I guess each city is different?.
Anyway, I got the cover off with the help of a saw, a big hammer and a pipe wrench in time for Winston to come back today. We communicated via Angie's messaging in the meantime. Still could not get commitment to arrival time, although I asked for 8am.
Called Winston at 8:15 this morning and he said he would be her by 9:15, arrived at  9:00. We could not get the street valve closed, it was stuck. Not surprised, as it has not been accessed in at least 30 years!. We decided he would put the new valve just downstream of my existing shutoff, and from now on, will not use the old one to prevent further leaks thru the valve stem packing. I also asked him to rebuild the hose bib in the garage adjacent to the main valve, and install heat tape on the pipe before wrapping it (I already had the heat tape, just never got around to installing it. When attempting to replace the washer in the hose bib, the retaining screw broke, so he installed a new hose bib into the old valve body for me. Although I was willing, Winston did not charge extra for the extra trip and the extras I asked him to do.
Overall, I am more than satisfied with this experience. My only complaint is not getting an advance commitment on arrival times. But once I did get a time, he was punctual, even early. Would give an A- on responsiveness if I could. But overall, an A experience!
Will definitely use A REAL PLUMBER again. In fact, we already discussed installing a freeze-proof valve for my backyard hose bib.

"Jim was very helpful and personable to work with.  I had recently moved to the Huntsville area and was unable to connect my wireless printer.   There were also some things going on with my laptop that made me suspect a virus had somehow gotten on to it, it was running more slowly than usual, and I wasn't happy with the Win7 configuration I had done when I bought the computer.  Jim came in and assessed the problems and we agreed on a time for him to take the laptop and reinstall the OS.  He was able to get the wireless connection to work as well.  He took the computer on a Friday evening and returned it Sunday evening in prime condition. 
A few weeks later I  got an error message while reinstalling my accounting software so I called Jim.  He talked me through the problem over the phone and I was able to get the program installed so I could use the program.
Jim is great to work with, his pricing is very fair, he is prompt and reliable.  I will definitely use his services again.
