"I was told by a plumber it was probably a squirrel or raccoon nest. I called two places, this place gave me an angie's list discount and was $300 cheaper than the other company I called. When they came they told me that it was a plain old birds nest and they removed it and the price charged was $200 dollars less than the squirrel removal. So overall, they came quickly, did a great job, checked the dryer vent and the chimney and prices was so much less than the next company on the list that I called. I would absolutely use them again."

"Bug Johnson is an effective raccoon control company, good customer service also! They eliminated my raccoon problems and returned my backyard to me. Highly recommend! "I had a great experience with this pest control company. Frank and Bryan were able to come out the very next day, which I really appreciated. The team was professional, efficient, and extremely thorough they sealed up my entire home inside and out. You can tell they take pride in their work. On top of that, their pricing was very fair, and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. They answered all my questions and made the whole process stress free. I highly recommend them to anyone dealing with pest issues!"

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Trees that provide a habitat to bats and an abundance of bugs—their main food source—will attract bats to your yard. Because the North American landscape has changed so much in recent years, bats have a harder time finding trees with cavities to shelter in. If your yard has a dead or dying tree with a lot of sun exposure, bats will likely be drawn to it because trees with those features are less common.

Using audio and visual methods to discourage birds might work initially, but birds tend to acclimate to them over time. While chemical deterrents can show some effectiveness, their results can be inconsistent. Some may dissipate too quickly, and there's a risk they might cause unintended damage to your surroundings. Additionally, birds might become immune or resistant to the impact of such treatments.

No, you shouldn’t have to worry about bats in your yard as long as they don’t make their way inside your house. Typically, bats hang around backyards in order to consume bugs, especially if they’re located in the U.S. Bats that are native to North America can consume more than 500 bugs per hour, so they may actually benefit your yard if mosquitoes are prevalent.

DIY treatments may help minor issues, but professionals provide long-term solutions and prevent recurrence.

If a wild animal enters your yard, prioritize safety for yourself and the animal. Remember to avoid direct contact and always keep a safe distance. Contact local authorities or a wildlife rehabilitation center if the animal is hurt or in distress. Both sources should be able to guide you on how to proceed and send help if needed. Please wait for the animal to leave naturally for non-threatening situations, as many will. To deter future visits, implement measures like securing trash cans, sealing entry points, and removing potential food sources.
