"Right from the start, the Exterminex Pest Control representatives that I had contact with (Jason and Sean) demonstrated diligence and focus on getting the job done (of catching mice) and remained professionally engaging and communicative throughout the month-long process.  Not only were my business needs met, it was at such a modest expense!  Compared to another popular pest control provider in my area, I got the BEST all around deal in terms of money and expectations.  Over time, homeowners get a sense of who they're doing business with -- and both Jason and Sean delivered all around top-notch services. A sincere thank you to both Jason and -- Sean -- who managed to work around A LOT of obstructions due to remodeling plans.  I HIGHLY recommend Exterminex Pest Control without reservation.

"I feel that they are a little pricey for the work that was done. The squirrels nest was removed but not the squirrels. They did not have the proper tools to perform the task so they used mine. Also the covering for my vent to prevent the bird entry is a little unsightly."

"I had a great experience with this pest control company. Frank and Bryan were able to come out the very next day, which I really appreciated. The team was professional, efficient, and extremely thorough they sealed up my entire home inside and out. You can tell they take pride in their work. On top of that, their pricing was very fair, and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. They answered all my questions and made the whole process stress free. I highly recommend them to anyone dealing with pest issues!"

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Woodpeckers peck at the break of dawn and take a break whenever the sun is not shining. On sunny days, expect pecking from dawn to dusk. On cloudy days, expect sporadic pecking when the sun peeks through. These birds are most active in the spring; you’ll hear them drumming as soon as the weather turns warm.

You can find a variety of humane bird repellent sprays online and at home improvement stores. However, if you want to try a DIY method that will keep birds away without harming them, mix some water, dish soap, and a few drops of peppermint oil and spray the area you want bird-free. Peppermint oil is a notoriously lovely smell for humans, but birds tend to avoid it.

An owl's worst enemy in the wild is often other raptors and environmental factors. Among the avian threats, larger owls or other birds of prey can pose a danger, engaging in territorial disputes or competing for food resources. Terrestrial predators like foxes, raccoons, and larger mammals may target owl nests or young fledglings. Environmental factors like severe weather conditions, habitat loss, and food availability changes can also significantly impact owl populations.

Trees that provide a habitat to bats and an abundance of bugs—their main food source—will attract bats to your yard. Because the North American landscape has changed so much in recent years, bats have a harder time finding trees with cavities to shelter in. If your yard has a dead or dying tree with a lot of sun exposure, bats will likely be drawn to it because trees with those features are less common.

Regular cleaning, proper food storage, sealing entry points, and professional inspections help prevent infestations.
