"I recently hired Sal at Hilite to ground a large number of the outlets in my home, add new outlets and new light fixtures, and I am thoroughly impressed with the outstanding service provided and overall expertise of Sal and his team. The team completed the work on schedule and demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills, efficiently addressing unexpected issues as they arose throughout the process. Sal got the job done for a very reasonable price. Throughout the process, the Hilite team maintained clear communication, exhibited professionalism, and kept on track to get the job done within the agreed upon timeline. I highly recommend Sal and his team for any electrical work. I would certainly look forward to hiring them again for future projects."

"Contractor and client provided light fixtures installed in various locations. Some openings needed to be made to access wiring. The openings were resealed, but more rework will be needed at a later date."

"Prompt response to call by manager, advise given as to what to check on roof after they remove fixture. Electrician Steve advised when he would arrive. They were a calming, reassuring presence. Very professional, took care of it right away. We also called them to reattach the fixture after the problem on the roof was corrected. Second time they were just as prompt and professional. I highly recommend them and would use them again."

"Anthony Viola did the work. It was excellent with the work I am very happy. We thought It may need to be replaced and because the style is discontinued I wanted to repair it. They were able to get the swith and chain to repair."

"All City Installs was great! Melvin, the installer, was professional, courteous and highly skilled. He took the time necessary to make sure everything looked right. I would wholeheartedly recommend All City Installs. My only regret was not contacting them sooner.

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

There are a variety of outdoor lighting types, and you should consider a few factors before selecting which ones you want for your home. Durability is a major factor if you live in an area that faces storms, extreme temperatures, or other harsh weather. Take the intended location, lamp size, and style into account as well.

For every foot of ceiling height, your chandelier should have two to three inches of height. To calculate the width of the ideal chandelier, determine the width and length of the room.

Add these two numbers together and that is the number of inches wide your chandelier should be. For example, if your room is 15 feet wide and 15 feet tall, you will need a chandelier that is 30 inches wide.

Yes, recessed lights can be installed in a bathroom and are a popular choice for several reasons. Recessed lights have a compact, flush-to-ceiling design, which makes them ideal for providing ample light and modern style in bathrooms without taking up too much space.

Also, because recessed lighting sits in a housing inside the ceiling, it makes it a safe, watertight lighting option for your shower. Just make sure they’re wet- or damp-rated before you install them in your bathroom.

It is possible to change a light fixture by only flipping the light switch, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. Exercising extra caution when working with electricity is always important. Take the extra few minutes at your electrical box to cut the power at the circuit breaker. Once you’ve flipped the circuit breaker and the light switch, use a voltage tester to confirm the power has been turned off.

Track lighting features multiple light fixtures attached to a linear track, allowing adjustable positioning and easy addition or removal of lights. It offers flexibility and is ideal for highlighting specific areas or objects. Rail lighting, a subtype of track lighting, utilizes a curved or flexible rail instead of a straight track. This design allows for more versatile light placement.
