"After my wife and I interviewed other contractors to rectify a very difficult basement flooding problem, we met with Marc the owner of this company: (HVL&D). Everything had to be done; repairing the foundation, creating inside drains and installing two sump pumps are only some of the things that had to be done. We are a working family who has done most of all home repair work ourselves, but knew when we had met our match. HVL&D had ALL equipment needed and was able to get all the parts needed very fast! He not only accomplished what he set out to do but re-landscaped everywhere all his crew worked and went above what we paid them to do. They were extremely neet and professional. "I contacted Antonio from Roger landscaping and concrete to get an estimate on a totally botched up sidewalk and stair job. I was in desperate need to have somebody fix the disaster that was left to me and my family, let alone my house. We originally hired a contractor back in July who made a total mess of my property and Home Advisor did nothing to help us with the mess that Joseph Arbore & Sons left here. I tried to contact many other contractors and none showed up. I waited countless days and hours on others and the responses and excuses were horrendous. Finally thank God, I found Antonio and his family. I contacted him and he showed up when he said he was going to show up giving me the estimate so we could decide if we will proceed with the work. When Antonio came to look at the disaster we decided that we would work with him as I felt he was honest and FAIR and the project commenced as we planned and as we discussed amongst ourselves. He and his sons and father in law are extremely meticulous. And it truly shows in their work. I must say that they really had their work cut out for them because fixing this mess was something that a contractor would really not want to take on. He completely redid the long front walkway and side walkway, redid the botched up stair job with bluestone, resurfaced the front foundation of the home and more. This has got to be the most reliable family run company I’ve ever dealt with and it was truly a pleasure. The job was completed in full yesterday and we can’t be happier. Truly professional at what they do. They also show up EARLY and work a full day. I did not have this experience with the other so called contractor. In fact we are so pleased, that we are going to be using Roger for our Spring project which will consist of a small patio, and much more. I simply cannot be any happier. At least now I can have people come for the holidays and not have to worry about someone being injured on the walkway. "Sometimes you just get lucky. We got super lucky when we hired D. Rohde to fix our A/C. Our technician Mike A. showed up with a helper/trainee, explained the estimate fees and then went to work. In less than 10 minutes he was able to identify the defective part, return to the truck for a new replacement part, and then install the new item. In under 30 minutes our main central A/C was back up and running. The second (upstairs) central air unit took another 10 minutes to diagnose and then about 40 minutes of grueling work in a super-hot attic to drain out the overflow tray, cut, blow-out the drain line, and repair the drain. Once drained, the unit is again working perfectly. It is great when a technician shows up and really is an expert. Mike A. is such an expert and also extremely friendly. Brandon, the assistant/trainee was also great and someday will make a great technician using all the knowledge learned from Mike's expert tutelage. I will recommend these guys to everyone I meet."

"Anji recommended four plumbers. Cassidy was the first to respond on Friday afternoon. One other plumber responded but I could not understand his heavy accent, and he asked me if I wanted him to replace the whole burner assembly. That made no sense to me and I questioned him about it. Suddenly he became "too busy" and hung up the phone. Another plumber didn't respond until Monday morning. Too late. The fourth plumber never responded at all. Cassidy asked if it was an emergency or could wait until Monday. I said Monday. and asked what time? I did not get an answer on Friday. Around 8:30P I called and got an answering service which told me that I wouldn't get a response until Monday because their office closed at 8:00P. I had asked about what time on Monday before 6:00P George arrived Monday morning. He was friendly. He knew what he was doing. He replaced the thermocouple. All work was done neatly and professionally. We have hot water again. I'd use Cassidy again."
