"In 2022, I hired All County Maintenance to inspect and repair my chimneys. Peter was amazing - the work included fixing some broken chimney bricks, replacing the old mortar between all bricks, and installing brand-new stainless-steel liner into my furnace chimney. The service and work quality were top-notch! In 2023 I hired Peter again for the yearly chimney cleaning. It was done efficiently and at a reasonable price. I highly recommend All County Maintenance and Peter for any chimney work out there!"

"Fixed the damper at a clients condo (I'm a Realtor). We had been advised by another company that the sheet rock would need to opened and a new damper installed. Cost was estimated at 500.00 (and potentially more) from said chimney company in addition to cut Sheetrock then replace. He saved my client money, time. Truly amazing!! Highly recommend:) super happy."

Chimney Repair questions, answered by experts

Yes, in most cases it’s a good idea to wrap furniture in plastic to protect it from dirt, dust, and damage during storage. However, natural and porous materials such as wood or leather should have breathable fabric covers to prevent moisture damage from condensation. Either way, it’s always important to ensure proper ventilation to prevent moisture buildup, especially in humid climates.

Paper moving pads, also called furniture wrapping paper or paper moving blankets, are sheets of recycled paper used to protect various items during moving. Similar to traditional moving blankets, paper pads are also reusable, making them a sustainable and cost-effective option for protecting your belongings during the moving process. Although they’re recycled, they still provide excellent protection against dust, dirt, and scratches.

Wood filler can be used to repair minor scratches, dents, and damages on wood veneer. Simply scrape the wood filler over the chipped or scratched area. Make sure to leave a little bit more than you need so you can sand it down for a smoother finish. Repaint or restrain the surface to ensure a consistent color.

Furniture repair costs around $200 on average, and most project costs fall between $100 and $500. The price you can expect to pay will depend on the type of furniture you’re repairing, the extent of the damage, and the size and age of the piece. Reupholstering and couch frame repair are the most expensive, sometimes costing $1,000, while fixes like repairing a scratch or replacing a spring in a couch or armchair will usually cost under $100. Older furniture requires more care and will typically cost more to repair.

Old pianos can be hard to sell for a few reasons. Pianos fifty years or older may only sell for several hundred dollars and will often cost more to transport to the new owners. Restoring a piano also costs well into the thousands, making it pretty hard to make your money back. In most cases, donating or recycling the parts of a piano is more cost-efficient and beneficial in the long run.
