Small jobs welcome

"Joe and Sam put in a ceramic and glass tile backsplash for us. It's beautiful and we love it. I watched the entire process. I will use them again for any tiling project in the future because they are precise and detailed and do not practice "good enough mentally". They were on time everyday, they cleaned up each day. Joe listened to how we wanted the tiling to look when finished, understood our desired look and delivered an amazing finished backsplash. Every single person that has seen it says WOW who did this for you? I am happy to say My Tile."

"We hired this Top Notch Tile to do a new backsplash in our kitchen. The price and service was great. Rick is very polite, friendly, knowledgeable, methodical, courteous, fast and on time. Rick explained our options and made recommendations when we were unsure of our best choice. We are very pleased with his job and strongly recommend him for your tile install."

"The entire transaction was vey satisfying. There are some excellent values when selecting from the high quality roll stock in the store. These are typically over-runs, mill ends and other material purchased at a large discount by United. They seem to pass along significant savings to the buyer, based on what we bought They also can order just about anything from the large range of distributers they use. The staff were extremely helpful in assisting our selection of the right goods. They loaned us pieces so we could look at the materials in our house to see the coordination with our other decor (this is not always possible, depending on what scraps they have from previous cutting).

They were helpful in measuring. For instance we wanted 11 foot wide cut from a larger width roll. As they were preparing to cut, they noticed that to center the pattern a slightly smaller width would look (centered) better. They called to explain and asked what we wanted to do. We went with their suggestion, as the slightly smaller size was no problem for our situation. We were very happy with this attention to detail. Similarly, they showed us a range of binding options and worked patiently with us so we were well informed to make a selection.

After binding, they noticed a small discoloration on the custom ordered bound round carpet. They delayed installation 3 days to remove the very slight dicoloration, which was very difficult to even see. Other than that, installation was done quickly and with precision.

We feel we were given excellent quality and very good service at an extremely reasonable price. The only slight inconvenience was that we had to wait to work with only one person, as they can be quite busy and the person you work with might be occupied with an out of store call. This was a minor inconvenience and will surely go to them first should we need more flooring at a later date."
The Stairs included in the project. Add a flow and comfort. Our installers are AMAZING!

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Glazed ceramic tiles don’t need to be sealed because the glazing already offers some protection against moisture. Unglazed ceramic tiles need to be sealed to keep the porous tile safe from moisture and staining. However, both types of tile can benefit from sealing. Sealant can make the tiles easier to keep clean and offer more resistance to water, spills, and stains.

Terracotta tile is a broad term for clay tile that’s been fired in a kiln, and Saltillo tile is a specific type of terracotta tile produced in Saltillo, Mexico. In addition to Saltillo, terracotta tile comes in a range of other shades and styles. You’ll often find it used in buildings throughout Mexico, southern Europe, and the western United States.

Tile countertops can last up to 100 years when properly maintained. Ceramic and porcelain tiles are the most durable types and can last as long as natural stone countertops like granite, marble, and quartz. Tile countertops are much cheaper than natural stone countertops, making them an excellent option for a homeowner with a limited budget.

The process takes two to four days, depending on the size of the area and your experience level. The first day involves assessing and prepping the existing tile, while the second day is for laying the new tile. This may take longer in complex areas. After letting the adhesive dry for 24 hours, grouting and sealing can be completed on day three. For larger projects or intricate tile patterns, expect the timeline to stretch a bit longer. Also, proper drying time between steps is essential for long-lasting results, which extends the project’s time.

Yes, construction materials like tile, lumber, drywall, and hardware can be disposed of in a dumpster, just not in your regular garbage. As you’re planning your project, just make sure to rent the correct size of dumpster based on the scope of your needs and be aware of weight limits. Tile weighs a lot (along with other construction materials), and your costs could increase if you exceed the weight limit in your contract with the dumpster provider.
