In order to properly diagnose your home’s needs, Farrell Brothers needs to look at its infrastructure, its duct work and air flow, insulation, windows and doors. All these things come into play when heating and cooling an older home. The biggest and best piece of equipment doesn’t always serve an Albany residence in the same way it would a brand new home.

My name is Cliff Taylor. I have owned and operated this business for over five years. It is a joy to help people improve their indoor air quality by cleaning out their duct-work. All jobs are done with the air+ Rotobrush system for safe and efficient cleaning. If you have allergies, ducts that are filled with possible mold, pollen, dust mites, and dirt/dust circulate these pollutants throughout your home. Quality workmanship, reasonable pricing and personalized service are my highest priorities. "Cliff telephoned to say what time they would arrive and was punctual. We reviewed the work to be performed by walking through the basement, garage, all hallways and both apartments in our high ranch home. They worked from upstairs to downstairs as a team to remove vent covers and scrubbing all vents and returns with the two large vacuum-like machines with long handle rottobrushes. After cleaning, they sanitized the system with an antimicrobial fog. They opened and resealed the ductwork in the basement. After completion, they showed us before and after photos. Theses gentlemen were personable and efficient - a pleasure to work with."

"I will no longer be a customer of Mohawk Heating. On November 1st a technician replaced my thermostat. A Honeywell T4 Pro was also the replacement thermostat for my home. All I have is a boiler, so the work consisted of removing two screws, disconnecting two wires, then attaching a new faceplate and reconnecting the two wires. Almost forgot, he put two batteries back in. The technician then went to the basement to make sure the boiler was running okay, took a quick look and recommended some work on the system. The whole process took about 45 minutes. Imagine how shocked I was to be told the total was $545.21!!! I knew the service call was $125, so I figured on the high side it would be about $275. What an expensive lesson learned on my part. How could anyone, in good conscience, charge such an extreme price for this kind of job. I do regret not following through with attempting to replace it myself. This was a very costly mistake for me."

"Short story a 1 day install turned out to be 6 days over two weeks because: 1- they MIS MEASURED for the furnace 2- drilled through a bathroom wall running wires for the thermostat. Their fix is worse than the hole they created. the hole was about 1/2 inch and the patch is about 6"x4" and they do not match paint so our bathroom wall looks horrible. We have to get the paint and materials to fix it. 3- Four days after the install, the new thermostat died and had to replaced. They will not offer credit for our time/expense to fix the hole or the extra 5 days we had to be home so they could fix their errors When I called to speak to a manager, it took from 9/29 to 10/3 to finally get through to one (I called many times and only had 1 return call and he said they would fix all their errors and make things right). Another mgr called me back on 10/4 and left voice mail), I returned his call the same day and it is now 10/10 and still no return call. And we have been loyal customers for years (all HVAC service through Danz, had service agreements, hot water tank install, etc). This is how they treat loyal customers!! If I could give 90 stars, I would."
