Communication was very poor. Owner talks a good game when you have his attention and falls short on his promises. Arrive late or not al all. My roof leaked more than the initial leak when they were finished.

"Hi [Member Name Removed], We’re sorry to hear about this and wish we could have been part of the final solution. As per our conversations, we were under the impression and understanding that the work that was performed was 1 of 2 options and that if option 1 did not end up being a permanent fix a more in depth approach to stop the leak around the chimney would be needed as agreed upon. This would include removing g the shingles around the chimney and we do not perform these type of repairs during winter months and the weather has just changed recently. Again we are sorry for your frustrations and wish a more direct line of communication could have been established between us prior to this review."

Tom has done a few projects for us! -Installing our propane fireplace lines -installing our propane fireplace insert -cleaning and getting our old propane fireplace working downstairs -moving our pellet stove downstairs and customized the pipes exactly as we wanted it. And more …. I can’t think of all the details as there was so much he’s done Tom is so knowledgeable, professional, respectful, kind and always takes the time to explain things in detail so you have a clear understanding of the job itself and the whys behind what is being done. He doesn’t take any short cuts, doing things right the first time which feels very rare these days. If I have random questions/concerns about my fireplaces, he always takes the time to answer them. I’d 💯 over and over recommend In the Line of Fire/Tom Decker! Thank you Tom and crew!!!!!!

Tom and team made this process seamless. Efficient and professional. To be honest I had not had luck with other masons and Tom came through with a quote in a timely manner and work was scheduled soon there after. I do not know anything about chimneys but, I can totally see the difference. I would absolutely recommend Tom to anyone. Also, the crew was great. Knowledgeable and professional are the words I would use. Thank you!
