Called on a Sunday ... not only did David pick up but helped us work through some questions on the generator no charge!

I can't say enough good things about this company. David promptly returned my call and immediately responded. He assessed the situation and patiently explained why each item needed to be replaced or adjusted. He was friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable. This man knows his way around a generator! His fee was reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to call his company again.

To me the best measure of an experience with a contractor is did he do a good job at a fair price. Dave nailed it on both accounts. He, as well as the people that worked with him, were experts in this field (having installed 900+) and did really great work. They were punctual, neat and explained what was done and how the new system worked. Couldn't be happier. Already scheduled him to come back in a year for regular maintenance.

Without a question this was as easy a project as possible from my perspective. Dave was clear with what was going to be done, how it would work, what to tell the propane dealer, and how to use the Generac. He was on site when he said he would be; kept me informed of the progress; and made sure my questions were answered completely.

I chose Troy Generator because I found it on Angie's List. I telephoned the company and spoke with David Begin and we set up an appointment for him to come out and check out my home and give me an estimate for a full home generator install. On the day of the appointment, when David did not show up at the appointed time, I telephoned him about two hours after the appointed time to find out what happened. He advised me that he had forgotten the appointment (a professional forgetting an appointment-I should have been warned). We rescheduled. He came out, inspected and sent me a proposal. I accepted the proposal and he advised me that the install would be done in about four weeks. I telephoned him the third week to get the actual appointment date. He advised me that he was running behind schedule and would probably be able to do the install in about three weeks. He would let me know. Then, about three weeks later I received an email from David advising me that he had planned to come and pour the concrete the next day but, because of the weather condition he could not do so. (He was correct, weather conditions being what they were he would not have been able to pour concrete.) The he gives me the kicker, he had "injured himself," had a serious backlog and would be out of commission for about a month and therefore would be unable to do the job. He apologized profusely and suggested that I find another contractor. Considering the lack of professionalism that I experienced with David, the best advice that he gave me was to find another contractor. I did so and so far am completely satisfied with the service rendered so far.

Outstanding service in all regards. David was prompt in giving me an estimate, prompt in completing the service, did a very professional job, and was very easy to work with throughout. Would strongly recommend without reservation.

The owner or Troy Generator, David, had the generator purring like a kitten when he finished. He changed the spark plugs, air filter, oil filter, and oil. He adjusted the valves, tested the battery. Before he left, he wiped down the engine and the outside of the enclosure. He is very conscientious and detail oriented. Very happy with the service he's provided since he installed the generator about 5 years ago.

Dave was early for the appointment. He was very quick and efficient even though it was below freezing. He knows the generator like the back of his hand. Very thorough device, adjusted the valves, new spark plugs, air filter and oil change. He tested the transfer switch as well. Highly recommend Dave and Troy Generator.

Wonderfully!! David was prompt and totally competent and well organized and affable and courteous and honest and did a fabulous job at a most fair price. He performed a quick, neat and good diagnosis and repair on my 5 year old 20KW Generac in somewhat inclement weather! I will definitely use his excellent services again and would recommend him without hesitation.

Dave was meticulous and very professional. He came highly recommended from a local electrician and we are very glad to have him install as well as maintain.

The final product appears to have been done correctly and looks very clean and professional. I have not tested the switch yet as I have not purchased a portable generator.

We had our Generator installed last year by Dave and we could not be happier. We shopped around for prices and services and we are Sooo happy we chose him. The poured concrete pad is awesome support and the pace of mind with this whole-house generator is unbelievable... We have 2 sump pumps that run EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR... No matter what the weather and it always been a big worry, BUT NO MORE!!! And I gotta tell ya it's AWESOME to be the only lights on in the neighborhood when the power goes out!!

Contacted Troy Generator Service and requested a quote for the installation of a automatic stand-by generator system based upon the reviews I read on Angie's list about this company, and was NOT disappointed. David was easy to contact, responsive to to all my inquires, offered good product knowledge and ultimately provided a very professional installation of my new generator system. The entire installation went exactly as he explained upon 1st visit, with no surprises. He kept on schedule, showed up on time for all work appointments and completed the total installation within the 3 week time period he estimated without issues. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the quality of his work and the finished installation. David provided a good product, did a good job of installation and at a fair price.

David is a wiz. Master electrician. He went ahead removed the old generator. Poured a new concrete base and installed the new generator. Everything went like clockwork and we were up and running with the new generator in just three days. That went so well that we had him install a new pole light. That also needed a concrete base which he attended to and installed the new pole light quickly and efficiently. No drama. No fuss. Just precision work.

David is the FIRST technician that has been able to fix my Generac Generator.  This poor generator suffered under the hands of inept technicians for its first several years of life, and I was beginning to think I had gotten a "lemon".  Then I found David!  On first glance he knew what was wrong, and carefully set about fixing it.  It took a while to undo all the bad things that had been done by the initial technicians, but when David was done it worked!  And it is has continued to work!  
He was extremely responsive (answering my text message in seconds) and is very reasonably priced.
David has the experience and knowledge, as well as the tenacity and patience to get your generator working!

Owner showed up as scheduled.  He, literally, removed all of the parts.  Then he serviced all components of the generator - filters, battery, etc. I highly recommend him.  The quality of his work is outstanding.
