"They were great. The people there were great. Everything was great. Its a big house. I got three quotes for the roof, they weren't the least expensive, but the most knowledgeable. The person who did the whole project, also did the gutters, and the chimney repaired. Full replacement of the gutters, that was done by another company, and repaired our chimney. "Because of recent storms in the New York area, it was necessary to contact the insurance provider ,Travelers Insurance, and their Agents,who were very prompt and they approved a completely new roof for the house!! .  The house is an L-shaped Ranch.which makes it a very large surfaced roof. I received the phone number from a friend, for TH Remodeling and Renovations, who saw work done by Tom Hazard in a local music store,The New York School of Music in Walden, NY.  I made one phone call, after being approved for the new roof to   " TH Remodeling and Renovations Inc.",  and the owner Tom Hazard. [ YES, THAT IS  HIS NAME,]  came THAT very day from a job he was currently on,  gave us an exact quote as to what he would do ,in FULL DETAIL,and explained what was best for our home with the  new materials available and also the proper attic ventilation options and Skylight  replacement  to maintain the roofs integrity.The crew came at the exact time and day he set,  AND IT WAS SNOWING!!   They removed snow from the entire roof, removed the larger section of roofing,not the whole roof,and covered it for the night.  The winds blew like mad that night in the Valley and the" half-the-house sized tarp" held up and the workers arrived  the next day with the sun shining and the workmanship throughout was spectacular. The crew was neat, polite,courteous AND everywhere to get the roof done.  I must say, I was skeptical with the snow falling and the cold temperatures , but Tom Hazard was very reassuring that everything would turn out as he promised. Tom and his foreman and crew were very exemplary during all aspects of this job through all the major and minor details. "The 35-yr old roof of our co-op tenement building was failing after years of patches and temporary fixes. Several contractors  proposed installing a modern thermoplastic commercial roof sealing layer over the old roof.   We also had a few other jobs that needed doing on the roof. Vandelay's proposal and pricing were competitive yet realistic.  *Everything* for the job had to be approved by the co-op Board; Bob was extremely patient and diligent about answering all questions, explaining and personally demonstrating to Board members what work would be done.  When worked was finally Board-approved,it proceeded quickly and finished within the promised time frame. Our roof is now leakproofed withe a 30-year guarantee, we have a nice new skylight, and our rain drain is working again.  .
