I called Homeadvisor at his request to let them know I had canceled the appointment so that maybe he could be refunded that money. Apparently, providers are not supposed to ask customers to call on their behalf for this - there is a provider credit service available for them to use. All in all, the exchange kinda left me somewhat uncomfortable."
