"Wanted to keep up with the new consumer trend of doorbell cameras. Got one for our front door and motion sensors for our main rooms inside. No extra fees or anything weird like that. Straightforward and honest process with this ADT dealer partner."

"Dale was terrific he arrived on time, was prepared to go to work, on arrival. Picked up a few necessary items, I didn’t have. Started and finished the job, cleaned up. Left with a functioning Ring doorbell that was connected to hard wire. Very professional and thorough."

"I recently had 1st Security install a system in my new house and so far have been very pleased with all aspects of the system, from the initial estimate to the installation to the functioning of the system itself. Jeremy did our initial estimate and provided us with a thorough explanation of the system. I already had done a significant amount of research comparing Alarm.com to ADT and some of the self-install options, but Jeremy was able to provide even more information and help me to understand better the pros and cons of each approach. Larry did our installation and also was very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining each step of the installation process and providing me with a tutorial at the end. My wife and I have had no issues with the system so far. It is very intuitive, and we have been able to customize it to fit our unique needs. I highly recommend considering 1st Security for anyone looking at installing, switching, or upgrading their security system."

We have the experience in repairing, servicing and renovating devices from old radios to computers, lamps, projectors, televisions just to name many of the hundreds of items. We are also an agent and trained by most of the reputable manufacturers. If it's electronic, electrical or mechanical, we can usually renovate or repair it. We have built up a wonderful reputation over the years with a loyal clientele. If you're not in our area and the item can be delivered, collected or posted, we are more than able to arrange this from anywhere in the world. We have also built a stock of tens of thousands of spares and components ranging from many obsolete tubes/valves and transistors to drive belts. We work on a FREE quote service on an item, in that we price the repair service of renovation before anything is done, firstly to let you decide if the item is worth working on, or if WE think the item is worth spending the money on. "Self installed is the only option. System works fine for the most part though we have had problems with the motion sensor cameras. Not that I have anything against FrontPoint, but if I were replacing system, I would probably go with Simply Safe now that they have cameras."

"
  • The technician arrived on time - was very personable & knowledgeable.  He installed the sensors on the locations that we wanted and made sure we knew how the system worked before he left.  We previously had ADT installed and had it removed the next day - this system & installation is so much better!  I felt completely safe in the home alone while my husband was in the hospital for 3 weeks.

"Peter from Artisan Tech really came through when my wife and I were completely stumped. After moving into our new home we could not get the WiFi to flow evenly throughout the house. With his help we were able to set up Google mesh routers throughout the home to ensure stable service throughout. He didn’t simply press a few buttons and go on his way; he took the time to explain why certain areas would be problematic in the home and gave us a quick, but understandable, tutorial to help prevent future issues. On a related issue, our Ring doorbell camera and security system were dropping their connection frequently, and he was able to resolve that as well with the fixed WiFi issue. Can’t recommend Artisan Tech enough. Peter was efficient and informative without making us feel or look stupid with these seemingly simple issues we were experiencing. Bravo, and serenity at last!"

Ring Installers questions, answered by experts

No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.

Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.

Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.

Yes, they can assess the size, kitchen layout, and ventilation requirements to make recommendations.

Typically 1-2 hours, factoring in ductwork and electrical connections.
