Jim did excellent job. He is very professional and responsible person. He is not only was able to fit us into his busy schedule, but also was able to do the work in timely matter. What is amazing in our time right now that he is responding to all phone calls or text messages. We are definitely will hire him again for another home project
We have used Secure Seal, Scott Drummond, in the past to seal an asphalt driveway. The owner is very neat, leaving no sealant on the stone walls abutting the driveway. Easy to deal with. Will use him again.

Secure seal did my driveway 3 years ago and I loved their work, so I called them again when it needed resealing. His original seal pretty much lasted the 3 yrs with some greying and of course oil spots. They trim all the edges and blow off all the debris, they coat over any oil or other spots with a degreaser before sealing. He lays down a nice thick coat of tar and doesn't get any splashes up on the edges of the porch and house that butt up against the driveway. Would recommend him and his crew of one any day. I will call him again in a couple years when it needs a new coating. Always keep his number on the side of my frig
MRW Services of Syracuse
Mike and his guys were super friendly and listened to all my thoughts/needs and make it happen. They were efficient with their time, and were able to schedule me in quickly which was very helpful as I had a lot going on in the summer. They made a new walkway to my front porch and installed new retainer walls on both sides of my front steps - beautiful work and accomplished what I had asked for. Reasonably priced as well and I highly recommend their services

Jim was absolutely phenomenal! He did our entire concrete patio in the backyard and continued it down the side to the front of the home. He and his crew we’re kind, hard-working, meticulous, and very thorough. He does great work for an amazing price as well! We will also be using him again in the future when we redo our driveway to tie it altogether. I highly recommend! Thank you Jim

I am completely satisfied with my experience working with Haskell. Jim was very responsive to my calls and text messages, provided valuable feedback to my original design concept and was just an overall pleasure to do business with. On the day of the pour his team was committed to finishing a quality job, staying well past sunset due to the concrete delivery being delayed. I would highly recommend Haskell for any concrete project

"I am very pleased with the job.
Preparation was thorough and the result was neat and professional. It was completed ahead of schedule. The process included regular discussions of the status and planned activities for the next day. Patrick made recommendations for addressing unexpected problems which he performed at no extra cost.
Patrick is a pleasant individual to work with. He is very professional and eager to make sure the customer is satisfied.
You will be glad that we were there. This motto is pulled from the poem that guides our work every day as shown below. We are a small owner-operated general construction company. "We hired Mike to remodel our basement bathroom. He maintained excellent communication as he squeezed us in between other jobs, which we appreciated. His guys did a great job on the tile work. There was an issue with getting the glass shower door that we had selected and he was able to find an alternative. In total the job cost ~7500 which was more than we were initially looking to spend, but it came out looking nice overall.

"I had a couple of estimatesf rom several sources and Eddie was on the lower end but I thought all were rather high for the small scope of work. Eddie seemed honest and assured me that he did amazing work and that I would be very satisfied. After negotiations with him he quoted me $2500 for the complete job. We agreed and he sent me an email as a contract. Anything that he handed to me was hand written. I am fine with this as i'd rather have him working than in the office doing paperwork.
Eddie started with the retaining wall, which was originally constructed with decorative block. Eddie asked if he could use regular cinder blocks as the decorative ones were more expensive. I told him I wanted the decorative as it is seen on a regular basis. He requested to use some of the old blocks where is was below grade and I agreed. I was also having him pour a cement pad outside a back door. He orginally staked it out differently than we discussed. It was corrected and it came out fine. WHen he was done there he was going to leave it to me to back fill the required dirt but did it with no problem when I asked him to.
Move on to the pillars... We agreed to have 22" block and the cultured stone added to that. Also since the lighting needed to be installed I purchased the needed conduit for the cement to be poured around. Something happened during the pour and the conduit got filled with cement. He did redo it and I think it will be OK. Eddie then decided to use 20" chimney block as he thought it would be sturdier. I was out of town when it went up and the block was thinner than we agreed. Eddie also found out at this point that the cultured stone we agreed to is pretty expensive and he needed another $500. I knew the price of this and was expecting this as his price was way too low for the job. It was still a good deal with the extra $500 so I agreed. The stone is the same that is on my house but was ot installed as nicely but still looks good. Overall a decent job for a fair price. I got exactly what I paid for. I would hire Eddie again for Block work or a patio but not the creative piece.

"Overall, everyone I spoke to was very professional and polite. The person who set up our appointment called as soon as I requested a quote online. I wasn't crazy about being asked if I had a spouse- I know there was a time when that was an acceptable question, but that time was the 1970's. From that alone, I knew this was a company that typically worked with older and wealthier clients. We are not 1%ers and are relatively young home owners in a working class neighborhood, but we pay our bills on time, which I believe is the requirement for hiring a contractor. The representative that came for our estimate was overtly friendly, punctual, and professional. She explained all the things that could go wrong, what they could find in the walls, and how slow leaks could add $10k+ to a $30k-$40k base estimate-without changing the layout. She explained that the company was large and had multiple departments, specialist, and hands-on care that generated overhead which why their estimate was twice our highest estimate, three times our lowest estimate and that we could certainly find someone to do the work for closer to the $15k we're expecting, but they wouldn't be insured or secure permits; this, for the record, is not true. The website she directed us to for the area average and "cost vs value added" lists $20k as the average price, still $10k-$20k below her quote. She suggested we replace the tub and not do any other work because it wouldn't be a good investment. She asked us if we work from home and when we said no she asked if we work, presumably because we were home in the middle of the day. From beginning to end, it felt friendly-insulting. It felt like our base estimate was the "no way am I taking this job" highball estimate. Especially when compared to the amounts listed by other reviewers for this type of work from this company, which are in the $15k range. For the record, my marital status is not related to the work I want done and not everyone works Monday-Friday 9-5. We did manage to purchase a house, after all. I'm sorry my house and my neighborhood weren't good enough for this company- actually, no, I'm not. Overall, huge disappointment and a waste of everyone's time.
