Well let’s say installers were great helpful and friendly. Unfortunately that’s all they have going for them the office is trying for the fourth time to get me to sign an e document that I signed and submitted electrically a month ago. Service was very sub par on the hot tub we purchased. If you choose to do business with them read contract and installation guide throughly. The demand full payment for everything when the first drop of water hits the liner. At that point there is no backfill or concrete around the pool. Which will come earliest 4 to 100 weeks after no promise time frame yet they have full payment. You have zero leverage after payment is made. The day water hit my liner I had everything completed on the customer responsibilities and still had to wait 11 days for backfill when in their installation guide it says water and backfill occur simultaneously. As of today no one in the office can give me proper justification why full payment is made before project completion. Buyer beware. Pool and equipment high quality office needs serious help installers great! Modify your contract before you sign. Hope this helps! I backed concrete out of the contract because I couldn’t justify paying for something in full with no date in sight to get installed.

When we called the office to complain we were told we would have to pay anyway! To thank us for being loyal customers another $15 was tacked onto the regular cleaning fee.

Poor service, unethical owner, extremely bad quality!
Response from Tarson Pools & Spas
"The manufacturer of the pool determined that the issue was a drainage issue. The customer subcontracted for the drainage, so the cause of the problem is unrelated to the services or product provided by Tarson Pools.. We have made attempts to contact this customer to see what we may be able do to help them, but have not received any return phone calls."

The pool was paid for in full prior to the start of construction, which was our mistake.  We had absolutely no leverage on the company after they had all their money.  They came out as scheduled for the first two days and then we didn't see the installers for 6 days.  They showed up "fairly" regularly  after that, but not every day.  When we were contacted by Tarson's concrete guy, we were informed that what we paid for did not include a gravel base for the concrete.  That was at our own expense.  So even though we paid for the concrete through Tarson, we didn't pay to have it done correctly.  The installers, when back filling their work did not get off their machine, so anywhere that required manual backfill was not complete.  I paid their installers to do the electrical work for the pool, but it did not pass inspection.  Even though notified of this by the inspector, their electrician has not been back out to finish the work and make it right.  Their warranty is short.  The second full summer we've had the pool, the liner has come out of the track in several locations.  When contacted, Tarson states that this is not covered under warranty anymore and would cost us at least $100 to have a  tech come to the house and fix it.
Response from Tarson Pools & Spas
"Many things are covered by a pool’s warranty and Tarson stands with our customers on warranty claims. Standard maintenance, however, is the responsibility of the pool owner. Liner tucks are part of pool maintenance as is water testing and pool vacuuming. We wish pools could be completely care-free, but just like automobiles, they do require maintenance by the customer."

I was told they would call and give me a heads up with an approximate time. They never called either time.
The first time they showed up it was to open the pool.  The took the cover off, ripped it more than it already was and emptied all the leaves that were on the cover into the pool.  I objected, but they were coming back in a week or two to clean it. I was trying to get educated, and although they answered my questions, they were not forth coming and showing me things, and the two guys went separate ways and I could not watch both of them.
When they came back to clean it, they could only "half" clean it. The pool was too cloudy (hmmm from all the leaves they dumped in?) so they could not clean it.  I was forced to hire someone else to do it.  They charged me for more chemicals (did they not put enough in when they opened?).  I was not here when all this happened, because they did not call like they were supposed to.
This kind of customer service really rubs me the wrong way. I some how expect more from small companies, but sometimes you get worse than the feeling of being a number.  I left voicemails for their service department, and never got a call back.
In my opinion.  I paid to have my pool cleaned and opened it. They could not clean it because of how they opened it. Paid them to deliver me a clean pool, I did not get that.  After complaints via voicemail, nothing.
What a shame.

"We are so sorry to hear you had this experience and very much want to discuss this. We have left a couple of messages but haven’t heard back. Please return our call when you get a minute. Thank you. Bob Tarson, Jr."

Ok I will let you know at first I wasn't happy with Tarson's but after several phone calls to Barb and to Mr. Tarson the issues seem to be working out just fine. We ended up having a floating liner and Tarson's is coming after Aug 4th to fix this issue. I will keep my fingers crossed that it all works out just fine! I love my pool and I am learning the first year of owning a pool is actually like a new baby getting to know the pool and all the bumps are all working out just fine! I would hire Tarson's again just hope in the end it all works out!

They didn't clean out the trap that needs to be done, check to see that skimmer basket was missing. Didn't put in enough chemicals, etc.

They were very good. The only problem that I had was after the pool had been installed and finally filled, there was a leak. It took a couple of calls to get the service guy back out. He then had to come back again with another guy and another part, and they fixed it.

We used them for chemicals and stuff when we had our old pool. We enjoy our pool. They were very professional and got it done in one day. The people we worked with to buy the pool were very helpful. We were very happy with them so we would recommend them. We would use them again.
