"Please don't use Pipe Doctor in Valley Stream. I requested maintenance be done on my water storage tank and was told by the technician that my tank was in decent condition and did not need to be replaced, but then to be told when changing the anode rods it caused a leak in my tank. I didn't want to blame them because I knew my tank was old and did need to be replaced soon, so I bought a new tank. They still charged for the rods installation but confirmed that once we buy a new tank, they would come back to install a new tank. When I called back for them to come back and install the new tank, I was given the run around on when they could replace my tank, so I asked to speak with the manager (Mike- part owner) to be told that they could have someone out next week instead. I told them that I have a newborn and can’t wait 4 days without heat. The level of disrespect when speaking with Mike was very unprofessional and unnecessary. Mike even spoke about my wife and my newborn unprofessionally over the phone, it infuriated me, so I showed up at the office and Mike threatened me with an gun and a pipe wrench in front of other employees- I recorded some of the event and no one said anything to him. Mike then questioned me about my legal status! As a proud military veteran, I am disgusted with the outrageous treatment. I filed a police report and restraining order and will attempt to have Mike arrested because he mentioned where I live and threatened to visit my wife and child! Please don't use this business. 1"
