Capital Heat IncExcellent. I had half a dozen quotes before selecting a contractor and found Rick to be by far the most knowledgeable. Capital was very punctual, professional, and responsive to my questions/concerns. They came back out night of to fire up my system (we had to wait for National Fuel to turn service on) and Rick followed up a few weeks after install to make sure system was running well.- Michael H.

Cellino PlumbingThey are a good company, and their followup is very good. They have a person in the office call me right before the technician is supposed to get here, so I know exactly when the person is coming. They come when they say they are going to, which does not always happen with service providers. I have dealt with two different technicians and both have been very pleasant and professional. They clean up after themselves. I don’t really have anything to compare their prices to, but I think they are a little bit on the high side, and I am willing to pay them because their service is very good. I would use them again in the future if necessary.- Leon G.

Zenner & Ritter Home ServicesZenner and Ritter people were there on time actually a little early they worked all day and got the job completed before 5 p.m. The worker were very professional and skilled. Keep me posted on how things were going along during the job.- Michael K.
-
Bryk H W & SonsThey showed us a little late, but did call to inform they would be late. Only problem was that they called when they were expected, which meant we had to wait until the expected time before we were told they would be late. a heads up would have been nice. They did provide professional service and very efficient in doing the work. Seemed very knowledgeable, but prices seemed to drop once they were reminded of membership to Angie's list. So take warning to inform them of that first and foremost.- Shui C (Dolly) L.

Capital Heat IncThey arrived right on time and completed the work within one work day. When they found out my original furnace was heavier than expected, they got as many people as it took to the house in a timely fashion to complete the job within the day. They left the place clean and tidy.- david r.

GasliteThis was a very irritating situation for me. Having my gas turned off in the middle of winter!. Ron was very professional, honest and hardworking. He spent at least 7 hours total to get this job done and done very well. In the end all I remember from this day is the great and honest worker I came across who did an excellent job. I highly recommend him.- UZMA A.

Bryk H W & SonsCalled yesterday ( 9/6/11) and asked if they put in gas shutoff valves for dryers, and if they hook up gas dryers once shutoff valve is in place. Said they did and scheduled appt for 9/7/11. Worker called first and arrived punctually. Performed all worked and brought up to code. Tested line for leaks and found none.- Brian S.

PCJ General ContractingI have a 1926 Tudor home that is near original mint condition. Peter repaired a gas leak in my gas log starter that was in my 6" wide oak flooring that were nailed down w/ exposed rough cut nails (beautiful). He found a solution to get to the starter that did not require ripping out & damaging my floors that can't be replaced or reproduced. They also remodeled a 3rd floor bathroom That looks incredible. Installed marble flooring in the powder room w/o disrupting or damaging the original 1926 wall tiles. They look incredible. Modified kitchen drawers so that I wouldn't lose their function w/ the installation of a gas cook top. I received a quote for the project that was RIGHT ON BUDGET when I rcv'd the final bill. Great Job!! Peter is a SUPER nice guy. A pleasure to do busines w/!- sherry w.

Excellent ! I’ve been a customer for 5 years. initially, when I purchased home, second day there, I wake up & furnace went out during night. Frigid winter. 20 degrees outside. I contacted the installer the original owner hired 6 years earlier listed on side of vent. A company on William St, Cheektowaga, NY. Tech came out. Said “ broken part. $ 500 + labor and warranty on entire 95% efficiency furnace not transferable to you second owner. So, it’d be wiser to replace furnace & get new warranty. The old “ if you were my mother, I’d be so concerned for you keeping this one”. Approximately $ 4,000. Put 50% down & scheduled install. Something just didn’t seem right... So then contacted Capital Heat, Depew, NY who I had install furnace & C/A when I owned a townhouse. Nick, the tech came out. He said “that part isn’t broken. It’s dirty.” He cleaned, did all the testing for proper levels of functioning. EVERY one in proper range. He gave me percentages & told me to contact that company, give them #s & demand credit back & cancel install. This month contacted Capital Heat. Emergency removal of whole house humidifier system. Mold causing me a hospitalization. Owner, prioritized & had system removed a few days later even though booked solid for weeks. Capital will always be my company.

We purchased our own tub, tile, lighting, etc., etc, and PCJ ripped out the old bathroom and installed all of our new stuff, as well as installing all new drywall and a ceiling fan. My son created his own, handmade vanity; we also had shower plumbing from China and a wooden sink basin from Poland. PJC made it all work, and it could not have come out better, all at a fair price. Would most definitely hire again.

McAlister has done a great job for me. They did work on the furnace and A/C over the last 6 months when I was out of state. Beverly does a fantastic job in the office scheduling and communicating findings and costs and getting the job done quickly, especially in the winter with no heat. When we had to repair the A/C we were able to save $1,000 by pumping the refrigerant down into the condenser instead of evacuating it into a container and having the system recharged. Beverly explained the risks and potential benefits and the process worked as we had no leaks in the system. Jeff rebuilt a plate to sit in the coil housing to hold the coil - he then reran braised the lines and engaged the system. Total cost $560. On the furnace McAlister came out 3 times to check on the furnace shutting down - after the third call they determined that the secondary heat exchanger was cracked causing the unit to overheat and shut down. TJ was great - he said it was their fault for not identifying the cause sooner (one time they found ice and snow in the intake and thought that was the primary cause of the shut downs - a reasonable assumption) and discounted the work on the repair. He was also able to get the part under warranty so all I paid was labor. They also had to replace some insulation and that was back ordered so they came out twice to do the same job and didn’t charge me a visit fee on the second visit. While we waited for the heat exchanger to arrive TJ had Jeff go to the house and check to make sure the caulk they used on the unit as a stop gap measure was holding as I wasn’t home and didn’t charge me for that visit as well. Total cost $950. The staff is always available in the office, the techs are well trained, trustworthy (we had them in the house with no one home and gave them the garage code) and leave the area perfectly clean when they are done while doing great work. I gave them an A on price not because they are the cheapest - they truly do quote you a “fair” price for great work which is what you want. I will only use them for all my heating, cooling and plumbing needs.
