"Paul was very prompt, efficient, and helpful with installing a water line hookup for our new fridge on short notice. He took the time to explain everything he set up so that we understood how it all works for the future, and also helped provide guidance on other aspects of our home outside the scope of this project. We will definitely be contacting him for future plumbing needs."

"My sewage ejector pump in basement would not stop running and I was looking to replace it. I texted Dean two pictures of the pump, he was able to give me a quote over text and the price was quite reasonable. He received a new pump on 5/22/2023 and came over to my house. After opening up the old pump and checking, he told me that the only thing that is really broken is the check valve, the switch got stuck but is still functioning, and the pump itself works fine. I ended up asking him to only replace the check valve and the switch and this saved me about $1000 from the original plan. I appreciate Dean's honesty, professionalism, and a job well done."

"I recently had a roof repair done, and I couldn?t be happier with the results. The team at dryshield arrived on time, were professional, and explained every step of the process in detail. They identified the issue quickly and provided multiple options before deciding on the best fix for my situation. The work was completed efficiently without causing any disruption to my daily life. They cleaned up thoroughly after finishing, and the materials used looked high quality. , and I?ve had no leaks or water damage since the repair. What impressed me most was their attention to detail ? They also offered a clear timeline and kept me updated throughout the process. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing roof repair or replacement. I plan to hire them again for future home improvement projects. Rating: ????? Recommendation: 100% ? Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

There are several things you can do to maintain your sump pump and prevent sump pump problems. For instance, keeping a lid on your sump pit goes a long way in protecting your pump system from silt, sand, dirt, and other debris. When water drains from the outside, such as along your foundation, or with melting snow, water runoff often brings sediment with it.

Also be wary of corrosion, particularly if your sump pump system is made of metal. Keep an eye out for rust and have it inspected regularly by a plumber or sump pump technician.

If you have a self-cleaning washing machine but you’re still seeing lint, your water pump filter might be clogged. To clean it, you should unscrew the drain hose, then remove the water pump filter. From there, you can inspect it and clean it with warm water before replacing it. Check to be sure your washing machine is functioning by running a short cycle.

No. Sump pumps have different capacities, which refers to the volume of water that they can remove. They also come in various horsepower ratings, which measure the size of the pump’s motor. For many homes, 1/3 horsepower is enough. But if you live in an area that floods often, you might need a more powerful model.

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to move wastewater and solid waste to the municipal sewer or septic tank. However, for fixtures located below grade (e.g., in a basement), gravity is not sufficient.

The purpose of a sewage ejector pump is to actively pump this wastewater and solid waste upward into the main sewer line. Without an ejector pump in this situation, wastewater would have no way to exit and would eventually back up, causing a sewage overflow or flooding in your basement. If all of your home's plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity can handle the drainage, and an ejector pump is not needed.

Costs depend on pump type, labor rates, and the extent of repairs or installation needs.
