"I would hire this company over and over again! Humberto, his son and their guys are amazing! Our bathroom and laundry room had gotten water damage due to a backed up sewer line. Humberto, his son, and their team replaced drywall, baseboards, primed and painted both rooms. They redid the laundry room floors, and the vanity in the bathroom. Everything looks amazing, and we have already discussed with them if they can redo the rest of downstairs, paint upstairs and my kitchen cabinets. They are VERY NEAT workers, always cleaning as they go. They’re reliable, trustworthy and you can tell they aren’t just in it for the money. Humberto is really compassionate."

"Job completed as promised. Was more than drywall and plaster. Included insulation, painting, trim, staining, radiator covers, electrical outlet, and great clean-up. Always on time and returned calls immediately. Suggested small improvements to planned job which enhanced the finished work. Would definitely call him again for future projects. An all-in-one home improvement expert!"

Customers say: True professional

"Ecua G carpentry and construction were a pleasure to have as my roofing vendor. They were knowledgeable, respectful of my property and completed the project on time at a cost that I thought was fair. An additional plus was having the owner involved with the project daily and communicating with me to insure I understood what was happening and to listen to any feedback from me."

"We first asked for a quote and a smart and knowledgeable guy came and explained how he would tackled the job, what kind of paint he recommended and how long it would take. He then quoted me a price that was quite a bit more than his competition. However, we noticed that he was offering two coats of paint and the ceilings and baseboards too for that price. He was very specific about his recommendations for the job and inspired confidence. The job went well, it was completed in a timely fashion and they even came back to touch up an area that was not perfect."

Small jobs welcome

""Drywall Repair" doesn't really cover it - we had a wall and closet removed, and a doorway and washer-drier hookups moved. So, the project also included plumbing & electrical. Humberto and his crew's care, attention to detail, and anticipation of possible issues was excellent. These guys take pride in their work; we are very happy, and have asked Humberto to remodel a bathroom for us as well."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Drywall texture refers to the techniques used on the surface of drywall to create a pleasing visual or tactile effect. Depending on your desired outcome, drywall texture can range from incredibly subtle to a focal point of a room. Textures play a significant role in interior design and are an excellent and relatively cost-effective way to change the feeling of a room.

Drying alone can take 1 to 4 hours to dry to the touch per plaster layer, but some types of plaster take several hours longer to dry. However, this doesn’t mean the job is done because plaster doesn’t fully harden until it cures, which can take a few days to a couple of weeks. It may take even longer if you’re building a new, pretty thick plaster wall. Allow the plaster to cure before painting it.

When you are learning how to tape and mud drywall, waiting for things to dry requires a lot of patience. So how long does drywall mud take to dry? On average, it takes about 24 hours. However, it depends on things like the thickness of the mud, as well as the room’s temperature, humidity, and ventilation. Using thin layers of mud in a warm, low-humidity room with good airflow reduces average drying time. You also could speed up drying time by making use of hot drywall mud, which consists of a powder that you mix with water, instead of using pre-mixed mud.

Cracks, water damage, and holes from fixtures or impact.

You’ll get better results if you soundproof the whole wall. A hole through which light can pass can also let sound waves in. Acoustical or silicone sealant applied to holes and cracks can block enough sound to make a difference. However, the more layers absorb vibrations and slow or stop sound waves, the less noise you’ll have.
