"We used Anton and his team for remodeling our basement and garage after we had water damage. They put up replacement pieces of sheetrock which looked amazing. Absolutely no lines just perfectly level walls. Their workmanship was outstanding. The owner was on site a lot of the time and his team worked very neatly. The painting was simply outstanding. The room looks like brand new. Pricing was extremely fair especially for such quality, high end work. Anton and European Craftsman will be our only call the next time we need work done. "I was once told by a master stair builder that if you want to evaluate a general contractors work, look in the dumpster at the job site for an excessive amount of used caulk tubes indicating that they are covering up mistakes. Recently we completed a very challenging project that required the excavation under our old seasonal home in conjunction with a significant 2-story addition. After interviewing three reputable and recommended contractors, we decided to work with Dave Nessel, owner of Unique Construction. Dave presented a clear concise estimate of the scope for the work proposed, the costs we should expect and a timeframe for completion; all proved to be very accurate. He and his team of true artisans obviously enjoyed their work. Laughter and music would usually overshadow the sound of the power tools that were working in synchrony. The exceptional fit and finish in a clean and neat environment were easily appreciated. Dave is truly a meticulous visionary. During the project, he was never shy about recommending esthetic modifications which deviated from the architects drawings. Whether these change orders originated from him or us, they were never with exorbitant fees, but were billed for time and materials used. The final result far exceeded our expectations. "Our newly renovated front porch adds to the value of our home, our street, and our community. Jonathan and Jerson, along wit their architect wrorked very hard to design, budget, and build the almost new addition to our home. And let me tell you it wasn’t easy to satisfy us as we turned out to be tough customers. But we were able to develop a trusting relationship which was a benefit to all. The work was expensive but well worth it (probably more of that goes on us because we wanted what we wanted). We were able to negotiate. Good thing because the job might not have gotten done without that. The quality was also exceptional. In fact it was beyond our expectations. Jerson is a master carpenter, highly skilled in framing and finish work. The masons on their crew were also masters of the stone. They built us a beautiful path leading to our new porch. "I had used Remodeling Concepts in t he past for a home addition + siding + roofing and was extremely satisfied with the result. I called Derek just to see if he could recommend an electrician. Instead, Derek sent over his own company electrician to review the work to be done. Martin (electrician) did not want to open the ceiling for fear of damaging the soffits. He instead said he would run the wires thru a 2nd floor outlet to the porch. We set a date and time and he was at the house right on schedule. The job turned out to be more difficult than we thought but Martin was patient, professional and persistent. He managed to snake the wires and install the fans. I am very pleased with the work.
