"Wow, super fast response from Dave at Acorn Tree Care after a big tree fell on my house during a storm. The whole team was there the next morning, they were even early, when does that happen these days? Dave was incredibly caring and helpful, and the whole team is so friendly, amazing to watch and obviously enjoy what they do. They were even able to fix a dislodged dented gutter! What an absolute pleasure, they are so skilled and wonderful to work with."

"After seeing positive reviews, I decided to reach out to Tree Fellers. Laurie-Annâ s demeanor was pleasant and she listened to our needs, before arranging an assessment. Robert and Laurie-Ann arrived on time for our scheduled assessment. They provided an itemized estimate, in less than a day, WITH photo references, providing ultimate transparency as to what the job would entail. We were pleased with the price and timely communication. Robert and his crew were on time, efficient, professional and completed the job in its entirety. Tree Fellers is our new go-to contractor for our tree services. We are extremely pleased with their work and happy to share our positive experience."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

If you don’t stake a tree that needs support, it could be at greater risk of being damaged or failing completely, whether it uproots or falls over. That could cause damage to your property or other surrounding trees. If you want to grow healthy trees, you may need to stake them for best results.

If it’s your property, then you can plant a tree near power lines, but it’s not the best idea. Any vegetation that grows within 10 feet or so of power lines will fall under the responsibility of the utility company, and they may trim or remove it as necessary. If you do move forward with your plan, try to choose a smaller ornamental tree, plant it as far away from the power lines as you can, and keep it trimmed to avoid future problems.

Bradford pear trees bloom in early spring with small white flowers. They typically flower for at least two weeks. In bloom, these trees often emit a foul-smelling odor that’s often compared to rotting fish. Bradford pear trees will sometimes bloom in the fall due to drought or other stress-inducing conditions.

It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.

On the other hand, mature trees produce fruit faster and provide more shade and privacy immediately. Ideally, a small or medium tree is the better choice if you can wait a few years for it to mature. But if you need immediate maturity, a larger tree is the only option.

Yes, many services include stump grinding to eliminate tripping hazards and improve aesthetics.
