"I feel extremely fortunate to have found Vicki through Angie's List !  She is an extremely talented person who is very easy to deal with. She has a breath of knowledge that allows her to accommodate my tastes, but also ensure that the overall design is in sync with the design and location of my home.  She has  a very diplomatic way of suggesting when I'm going astray with my choices and in every case where she has told me "Trust Me"  I have been delighted ! She is very aggressive in helping me find the best pricing and often times will work with the vendors directly  hence saving me the time.  She also has excellent local contacts.  Everyone I've worked with through Vicki has been timely, professional, and highly competent.
My project is far from complete.  I intend to continue to use Vicki and her expert advice until the end !!!!"

"

Did a good job, providing 2 layouts to choose from.  Completed design and sent email and snail mail paint and furniture samples in a little over a month from starting the process.  The previous estimate was 2-3 weeks so it wasn't so late.  My only disappointment was the design was not for the complete room.  They told me that the missing area was considered an entry way or hallway and could be designed for an additional fee.  I did not want to pay an additional and accepted their explanation, but on second thought, in my opinion, it isn't really separate.  There is a large archway one-third of the way into the room, but I have never considered it as two separate rooms and no one visiting my home has ever mentioned it.  Every room has an entrance.  I wouldn't call the way to get into a room as a separate room. Other than that, I would say a got a great deal overall.

Home Staging questions, answered by experts

In Reno, home staging can influence your property’s systems by altering airflow if furniture blocks vents, potentially impacting HVAC efficiency during seasonal temperature swings. Extra lighting or electronic devices may increase electrical load, especially in older homes. Frequent movement in and out during staging can introduce more dust, affecting air quality. Monitor for changes in utility usage or comfort levels while staging is underway.

Helpful?

Staging your Reno home can lead to faster sales and increased buyer interest, especially among those moving for tech jobs or seeking outdoor amenities. In the short term, staged homes often stand out in online listings and attract higher offers. Long term, effective staging helps maintain neighborhood property values, reduces the stress of prolonged listings, and enhances Reno’s reputation as a vibrant, desirable real estate market.

Helpful?

Your Reno home is an excellent candidate for home staging if it’s in a fast-moving real estate market, located in sought-after neighborhoods like Midtown or Caughlin Ranch, or features open floor plans and large windows with mountain or city views. Staging is especially valuable if your property is vacant, has dated finishes, or needs to appeal to buyers relocating for Reno’s growing tech and outdoor lifestyle opportunities.

Helpful?

In Reno, start by maximizing natural light to highlight scenic views, especially of the Sierra Nevada. Clean windows thoroughly and arrange furniture to frame outdoor landscapes. Use native, drought-tolerant plants for curb appeal, and select neutral paint tones that complement the local environment. Refresh kitchens and bathrooms with modern fixtures, and remove personal items to help buyers envision themselves in the space, which is key in Reno’s competitive real estate market.

Helpful?

For a seamless Reno home staging experience, schedule projects around the spring and summer selling seasons when buyer activity peaks. Confirm any HOA or neighborhood guidelines before making exterior changes, especially in historic districts. Coordinate delivery and removal of staging materials to avoid weather disruptions. Allow extra time for photography to capture optimal lighting, and choose materials that withstand Reno’s dry climate for lasting appeal.
