Although it was a 45 minute drive from our home, we felt it might be worth it, and it was. We made an appointment with John via email, arrived at 11:00, and spent just over an hour in his office. He evaluated the sterling silver set we had to sell and gave us what we felt was a very fair price. He'd given us an estimate on the value of the gold coins via email, and although the price of gold had fluctuated since he'd provided the quote, the final price was very, very close to the initial quote. We were happy to learn that they will also buy jewelry, as I have a few pieces I haven't worn in a very long time. We were very pleased with the entire experience and will definitely return to their company when we have gold or silver to sell, and we're happy to recommend them to our friends. One thing to keep in mind is that sterling silver sets are basically worth the price of the silver itself. As owner of BVW Jewelers, I have been designing and working in the jewelry industry for over 25 years. I am a second-generation jeweler/goldsmith who apprenticed with his family in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Early on, I helped my family open their first store in Albuquerque, in 1987, which specialized in delivering custom, and unique handcrafted jewelry to the Southwest. I can appraise anything that moves or can be moved. I can travel short or long distances, I have never been 2nd guessed or questioned on an appraisal. I have been doing appraisals for 12yrs. I can appraise at you location or I have done them at auctions or at business locations. Everyone that has purchased my services have been very satisfied and have told friends and neighbors about me. "I had purchased a diamond ring and needed an appraisal for insurance. I took it to DeVon’s jewelry store in the Summit shopping center. The jeweler recommended I get the appraisal done by Bradley Martin in Franktown Corners. I went over to the shop. After examining my ring, I was told several things which l knew to be inaccurate. Mr. Martin told me the diamond was significantly less valuable than the store where I had purchased it from. He also told me that there was no GIA inscription on the stone. I contacted someone I know who works in New York City in the diamond business . The person recommended Brian Rocca for a second opinion. I took my ring to Brian. I was able to get an appointment for the following day. He immediately was able to find the GIA number. The appraisal he provided was well done.
