"One trip to determine the issues and order needed items.
Second trip to install new items, correct all shorts, punch down proper areas on jacks, label and correctly connect hard wire for phone versus internet to each room and to outside phone box. Everything fits in inside phone box too so the door closes properly. Very nice professional job, and John was pleasant and competent. How nice!"

"A?Team Electricians were fantastic from start to finish. They clearly knew what they were doing and completed our panel upgrade efficiently and cleanly over the course of a few days. Communication was prompt, the team was respectful, and they left the space spotless. Everything passed inspection with no issues. Hi my name is Don. I’m 43 years old.\nI have been in the trades for 23 years.\nWhen I was 19, I worked for a contractor who remodel custom luxury homes.\nI spent five years with them and then took what I’ve learned and started a small any man business in California. \nShortly after that economy started to slow down, so I focused on one trade.\nNow that things are looking better I’d like to get back to what I did before.\nI have experience in everything from concrete to roofing, and everything in between.

Generator Install questions, answered by experts

It’s usually better to repair your generator if it isn’t working properly, as it will typically be much more affordable and should yield similar results. Generator repairs cost around $300 on average, while installing a new whole-house generator costs around $5,000 on average. The only exception is if you know your generator is reaching the end of its useful life, usually between 30 and 40 years. If you have an older generator, you could face multiple repairs in the coming years, which might mean that a full replacement will be more cost-effective over time.

Carbon monoxide emissions aren’t only dangerous to human life, but they also harm our planet. While natural gas generators emit lower levels of CO than other fuel sources, there are still ways to reduce emission levels. For example, shop around for an eco-friendly generator that complies with current emission standards. Also, make sure your generator is serviced regularly to avoid CO buildup.

While diesel is relatively stable, it won’t last nearly as long as propane and you may have to replace it if it sits unused for too long. Diesel can sometimes struggle to work efficiently or start engines during especially cold weather, so it’s not the best choice for every climate. Compared to fuels like propane and natural gas, diesel generators tend to be noisier and create more exhaust, which isn’t always ideal for home use.

In some situations, yes. Never try to put biofuel into any home generator without checking the specifics first. If a generator has the ability to run on diesel, it can also run pure biofuel (the clear kind made from seed oils, for example). But if you are using biofuel made from animal fats or vegetable oils, the generator will need significant modifications before it can handle a sludgier type of biofuel.

Natural gas generators are designed to run for extended periods of time, such as power outages during a natural disaster. Since there’s no limit to the supply of natural gas, they don’t need to stop for refills. However, generators do need maintenance, including pauses to check and add oil. Constantly running them will also cause a lot more wear and tear, leading to a shorter lifespan.
