measure and quote me he gave me a brochure and told me that i would love their windows. After shopping around I came down to two contractors ABC and a local company that was offering a lower price than ABC. I could not find reviews for either of these companies. The salesman called me up and I told him that I would not be using them because I had a lower priced quote, he then told me that he would talk to his boss and see if they could come down a little bit. They dropped their price so I said ok. when they replaced the windows i did not like how far they had stuck out of my siding (3/4") Also when they did the trim around my half-moon window it looked hideous and every time I pulled up to my house I would see it. The installer told me that was only way that he could do the trim, we also thought we were getting different latches, we also were under the impression that we were going to get privacy windows on our downstairs bathroom which my wife was not happy about. So any ways they also damaged some drywall when they were removing the old windows which was no big deal because I was going to fix that but then the installer said he was going to take care of it. Well they took care of it alright I found one of the damaged portions filled with silicone caulking which p***** me off. And somehow they managed to break a screen and they said they were going to replace it. Oh and did I mention that they said this would take a day and a half max, two and a half days later I was so sick of them I wanted them gone. So I waited for a call from maybe their manager to see if I was satisfied. I then later received a bill so I called and said I was not happy and told them what was wrong they said they wanted some payment so I sent them half. A month or so later they called and wanted to do it on a particular day and I said no because I was working nights I almost had to scream at the lady to get my point across that I was sleeping during the day. A month or so later they came back and repaired the trim around the window (it looks a lot better) and also managed to break the replacement screen on the way over to my house (BTW they are located 175 miles away) and no one ever told them about the drywall. That was almost two months ago now and the last time I talked to someone they wanted the rest of the payment and asked if they were ever going to come and finish they said they would find out and call me back that was over two weeks ago. My wife had found others on Facebook that have had problems with them in the past. I would never do business with them again and do not recommend them. The basement laundry room was full of water and I couldn't get a commitment from any other plumber as to whether they could make it out and if they could it was considered an emergency call and would be a minimum of $300. I found Rod in the phone book and he was able to come out immediately and took care of the problem and only charged us $75. We have dealt with Rod several times over the last 4 years and the experience is always the same. He almost always answers his phone and if not he gets right back to us. I honestly hope I never have to use anyone else."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/nv/spring-creek/fielder-sewer-and-drain-reviews-2515429.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Discount TV","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"NV","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Patricia T."},"reviewBody":"I would say there been a few issues here. FAQs for basement leak repair projects in Elko, NV
The cost to finish a basement is $18,400 for the average homeowner. However, this cost could be as little as $2,800 or as much as $34,500, depending on the basement size and the materials needed. If your basement is already outfitted with electrical and plumbing, expect the cost to fall on the lower end.
For example, the drywall cost for this project averages around $1,750, but other features, like hiring a plumber, cost between $45 and $200 per hour.
The cost to remodel a basement is between $12,100 and $33,400 for the average homeowner. The price you pay can be as little as $3,500 or as much as $50,200, depending on the size and condition of your basement and the type of remodel you're doing.
If you're doing a simple project like adding a home office to your basement, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $3,000. However, if you're adding a bathroom, which is an extensive project, you can expect to pay between $6,600 to $16,500.
Damp proofing and waterproofing are both methods to help keep your basement dry. Damp proofing keeps soil moisture from entering your basement, which is helpful since your basement is underground. Waterproofing, however, keeps both soil moisture and liquid water out of the basement, which is essential, especially if you live in a wet environment. Because it’s more protective, waterproofing typically costs more than damp proofing.
Although homeowners often use the terms basement remodeling and basement finishing interchangeably, they are quite different terms.
Finishing a basement is the process of taking a basement space that is not habitable and adding elements to make it usable. This includes adding plumbing, flooring, and insulation.
Remodeling a basement means taking an already existing finished basement and changing it, often by adding or removing walls, adding plumbing, or changing the existing flooring.
The cost of basement waterproofing is $4,950 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying between $600 and $14,000, depending on factors like basement size, waterproofing method, and the region you live in.
If you live in an area with heavy rainfall, you might be paying more for waterproofing than if you lived somewhere drier since waterproofing contractors would be in high demand. Likewise, a 500-foot basement costs between $2,500and $5,000 to waterproof, but that price rises significantly for a larger basement.
