"He arrived on time and went right to work. We are both extremely happy with his work and would not hesitate to hire him again. He came back the next day put put a second coat of paint on he door that he made and installed. It looks like it was put on by the builder. Very nice and personable young man. We even took him out to lunch with us when he had finished."

"This company is top notch! I received my quote quickly and the project started on time. The bathroom remodel was for my elderly Mother to remove the tub and replace with a walk-in shower. I also decided to update everything else (floor, vanity, counter top, light fixtures, paint, the whole space). My Mother is home bound and I wanted a company I could trust in her home everyday. The crew was very punctual, clean, and extremely courteous and respectful. They arrived on time and cleaned up everyday. The work was completed on time to perfection! I have now hired them to do a complete bathroom remodel on my own bathroom!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Most homeowners put a layer of compact sand or gravel at the bottom of their firepit, but you can also choose more decorative options like fire-resistant paving stones, bricks, or fire pit glass. Dirt by itself can even work, but other materials do a better job of spreading the heat around.

While your forced heating system runs, it can pick up dirt, dust, hair, and other particles from inside your house. Changing your furnace filters regularly is key to preventing this debris from getting stuck in your ducts and swirling around your home. With some types of furnaces, there’s also the potential for carbon monoxide leaks. However, staying up-to-date with your HVAC inspections and installing carbon monoxide sensors can help mitigate this risk.

Glass block windows aren’t fire hazards; fire-rated glass block windows can increase your home’s fire safety. Modern glass blocks are made with materials that can resist high temperatures and prevent fire spread. Most offer a 45-minute fire rating, while some increase it to two hours. Compared to the typical 20 to 90 minute rating for a double-pane window, glass block can increase your home’s safety in the event of a fire.

You can let a fire burn out in a fireplace as long as you or someone else will stick around to monitor it until it goes completely out. This may take several hours. To prepare, stop adding fuel to the fire well before you’re ready to call it a night. If you’re using the fireplace for warmth, you’ll want to cover up in some blankets as the flame dies down.

Attics often contain a mix of insulation, electrical wiring, and other materials that can pose fire risks. That’s why furnaces should be installed in the attic with proper insulation and clearance from combustible materials. Additionally, the furnace should be equipped with proper ventilation and heat shields to prevent the buildup of excessive heat in the attic space. Regular inspections and maintenance are also crucial to identify and address any potential fire hazards.
