"The two young men were clean, quick, and efficient. Their equipment was clean and dry as well when they came into my home. My carpets look beautiful and feel soft and clean. Both men worked together smoothly and did the upholstery quickly and cleanly! :) I will certainly have Bravo Carpet Care again. They did a fine job on all I had asked to be cleaned. "When no one locally even responded to my inquiries for a quote, Michelle got back to me the same day with a quote and description of how the repair would be done. It's a slight downside to have to ship one glove coast to coast for a minor repair on one finger. But the cost of shipping and the repair is much less than purchasing another $100 pair of gloves! The repair took a little longer than anticipated, but shipping time had to be factored in as well. Michelle was very prompt with communications during the process. Cost of service below did not include shipping which was about $16 round trip. The glove returned good as new...well as good as it's pair. The glove is two years old. But the seam was totally resewn and reinforced. Michelle stated she did not want to the issue to happen again. I hope it won't. The problem started with my fingers rubbing. Very happy with the service from Premier. I wish they had a shop in Maryland!"

Upholstery Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Depending on your type of carpet, a wet/dry vacuum is a great final step to removing blood stains, but it will only help after you’ve used another method to pull out the bulk of the stain. A good option is to use a wet cleaning method, then apply baking soda to the stain, and then follow that by vacuuming thoroughly. Remember that this vacuum type does not work on all carpet types. Wool can shrink with this method, so always check the cleaning instructions from your carpet’s manufacturer.

Ongoing maintenance of your leather furniture is the only way to prevent it from peeling and cracking. Real leather will peel and crack as it dries out. Leather conditioners are a great way to protect your leather furniture from drying out, and you’ll need to apply it about twice each year. It’s also a good idea to keep abrasive materials away from your leather to prevent cracking and peeling, including belt buckles, shoes, and multi-surface cleaners, especially those that contain alcohol.

Yes, you can steam clean a suede couch, but avoid using any additional cleaning solution. The hot water should be strong enough to remove any stains. If you find after steam cleaning your suede couch is still showing dirt and debris, a professional furniture cleaner will have a more powerful steam cleaner to do the job.

You can clean some mattresses with a carpet cleaner that has an upholstery attachment. Mattresses made out of memory foam or other foam generally should not be cleaned with a carpet cleaner, although many traditional spring mattresses can be cleaned this way. Consult the manufacturer’s instructions to be sure. If you do use a carpet cleaner, be aware that it will take much longer to fully dry and be careful not to oversaturate the mattress.

Onions, peppers, fish, broccoli, and fried chicken taste great—but the leftover smells can be less than appetizing. Even if these foods are cooked perfectly, the odors they leave behind can linger well beyond the dishes being cleared and washed. Fortunately, you can use the same tips to get a burnt smell out of the house and remove stubborn food odors. In addition, make sure you’re keeping your fridge clear of odor-smelling foods for too long to keep the stench from invading other foods.
