"John and his crew did an awesome job trimming an 80-year-old pine tree in our backyard in a difficult-to-get location. They are true professionals and even gave us the wood chips to use in our yard."

"Santiago responded within minutes of receiving my project request and agreed to come out right away. He checked my system over, determined it was in good working order despite the recent freeze, then winterized the system. The cost was very reasonable! Great customer service!!"

"The job turned out excellent! Andres was informative and patient with someone who was not familiar with xeriscaping or southwest plants. He was also a good troubleshooter along with designing. Nellie in the office was welcoming and responsive. Any delay (minor and primarily due to weather) was communicated. The crew was great. The project involved clearing the backyard to the dirt and rebuilding, including new slab patio (with stamping). Front yard plants were also trimmed for a polished look."

"Tree Busters did a great job trimming are many, many trees.  Larry is an arborist and we discussed the best thing to do for our trees to keep them healthy and prevent damage.  HIs professionalism and knowledge was appreciated in deciding how to take down a dead tree.  They did a great job and I would hire them again.

"Josh and his wife were professionals. And they were on the ball since I called. They were knowledgeable and with a sense of urgency that I hardly see in Las Cruces any more. I guess my only concern would be who they have as a crew. The guys that did come to our site were hard working and efficient BUT I didnâ t like they didnâ t pick up their trash (from gatorade bottles we provided). They just left them in our yard. That could just be a cultural thing. Other than that we would definitely work with them again- as a matter of fact Iâ m already planning the next job as soon as weâ re done with our home remodel."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Tree trimming can count as landscaping, depending on how a landscaping business describes its services. Professional tree trimmers are more specialized than landscapers and offer trimming services separately from general landscaping.

When general landscaping companies offer tree trimming, look up the details. They usually mean shaping or seasonal trimming of ornamental trees, which is different from trimming larger trees for health or safety reasons. When possible, look for a licensed expert that specializes in trees and tree health.

White vinegar does not kill ivy on trees because its acetic acid concentration is not high enough to overpower it. Vinegar is an effective herbicide for weeds and other plants, but not for the strength of most ivies, including poison ivy and English ivy. You should use an herbicide to kill ivy, such as one with glyphosate, imazapyr, or triclopyr.

Firewood tends to be cheaper during the spring and summer. When the demand for firewood is lower during these seasons, many firewood companies offer lower prices and added discounts. In addition, the supply of firewood is typically higher in these months, meaning the quality is typically higher as well.

The costs vary from $250 to $5,000 per tree, depending on the size, complexity of the trimming, and labor.

It depends on where you live—but in most areas, leaves begin falling in September and continue falling until January or February. Warmer regions, such as Southern states, may see leaves fall a bit later in the calendar year. It also depends on the type of trees in your yard and their maturity.
