"We had many issues with our computer - primarily with the CD/DVD drive and iTunes. Jim eliminated over 700 viruses from our computer, which was just the beginning. There continued to be problems within the systems of the computer. Luckily Jim charges by the job and not by the hour because he worked a LONG time to make it all work.  He kept in touch with me and addressed each issue as it arose until the job was done.  He was professional and courteous and hung in there until I was satisfied he had addressed everything. I would highly recommend Jim and will definitely use his services in the future, as needed.

"Sales process was good, courteous and helpful. Installation instructions were easy to follow. Did have a small issue with one sensor which was easily solved with a call. Control panel is easy to use and well constructed. Phone app is the best part. Not a big fan of a 2 year contract and the monthly rate feels a little high, but definitely a decent system. I had emailed them a question pertaining installing on double hung windows and never received a reply, but other than that their phone support prior to that was good."

"We had all the windows replaced in our home and we are very pleased with the entire process. The installation was taken care of in one day and no mess left behind. The windows look great and are a huge improvement. I highly recommend Wallaby. They are easy to work with and operate in a professional manner."

"I called the day on Thursday, got a few details and asked if they could detail my car on Friday.  We set up an appointment at 2pm at my house.  (Cool, points for availability).  I had some errands to do on Friday but thought I could do them and make the 2pm.  At 1:50pm I got a call from them saying that I was late for my 1:30pm appointment.  I explained that the appointment was for 2pm and that I would be there in 5 minutes.  I arrived at 1:55pm and they started detailing my car.
I went in the house to wait.  I checked on them a couple of times and it seemed that they had teams of people that specialized in different things because I saw different faces each time.  After 2 hours, they rang my door bell to let me know that they were done.  I examined the car and my first impression was that it looked like it had just been driven off the car lot.  Looked great.
When I looked a little closer I found a few issues.  First, the front window was badly streaked.  I mentioned it and they immediately started working on it.  I then noticed that the head lamps had not been cleaned.  They said that they would work on it but to really do it right I would need to purchase an additional package where they buffed the head lamps clean.  I thought that I was paying a premium for the detailing service and expected this to be a part of the package but apparently not.  (Negative points).
I paid them the money, signed some paperwork and prepared to drive my car into the garage.  I then noticed that I was missing my foot mats.  Luckily, they were still in the driveway and I asked them about them.  The guy said that they had put them aside so that they could dry and had forgot to put them back.  He said that they were still wet and suggested that I leave them out so that I didn't develop mold in my car.  He then got in the van and left.  I examined the foot mats and immediately realized that they weren't wet.  In fact, they were dusty and had never been cleaned.  Disappointing!
So, overall I was happy with how the car turned out.  The car looks great.  I have never had my car detailed before so I am not sure about my level of expectation.  I did ask around and a few friends mentioned $200 for detailing.  I had one friend that had a groupon for an $80 detailing.  For the price I paid, I expected very minor issues.  I didn't like that the guy lied to me about the foot mats and the head lamp cleaning should have been part of the service. Otherwise, I am happy with the service.  The next time I detail my car, I will try a different detailer just to see if this is par for the course or that I should have demanded more.

"They replaced 11 windows, a patio door and re stuccoed 3 sides of my house.  I was impressed when they came out, they showed me the windows and what they would do and how they would look and work, Since there was brick in the front those had to be inserted differently then the other ones. When they came out  to measured they measure the top, bottom and middle to make sure they would get the right size and the windows look very well,  they work very well and the stucco is great. It was just a wonderful job."

"Tech that arrived was lousy. Came out of truck complaining about a back ache, blamed my AC issues on old windows. Never looked in the attic. Ended up hiring a company out of pocket who did a thorough inspection and made sensible recommendations."

Windows questions, answered by experts

Storm windows have about the same life span as standard windows—between 20 and 30 years. Vinyl and wood storm windows last longer than aluminum, but they all fall within that life span range. Of course, how long your storm windows last will depend on how much severe weather they see. Direct impacts, in particular, can quickly reduce how long your storm windows last.

There are many high-quality window companies on the market, although Andersen, Pella, and Marvin continue to be the most popular nationwide. Some brands, like Sunrise and Soft-Lite, are popular regionally but may not be available in all parts of the United States. When comparing brands, look for features like increased energy efficiency, strong and durable materials, and long-lasting and all-encompassing warranties.

Wood windows fall in the middle of the window frame materials when it comes to energy efficiency. They’re more insulating than aluminum and vinyl, but they aren’t as efficient as fiberglass or composite frames. If you love the look and lifespan of wood windows and want to maximize efficiency, you can upgrade to double-pane or triple-pane glass and consider window tinting and low-emissivity (low-E) coatings to minimize heat transfer.

Bifold windows work by using a track that allows panels to slide to the side and "stack" so they take up minimal space, leaving the largest opening. The sashes connect to each other with butt hinges or concealed hinges and to the window frame with the same type of hinges you’d find on a casement window. Some manual bifold windows also have casement stays or another piece of hardware to keep your windows in place when they’re open.

Folding window installation costs about $1,600 on average, ranging from $500 to $3,000. The cost factors of this project include the size, the type of folding windows, the number of panels, and the type of glass. Different types of folding windows include:

  • Standard folding window: $200 per linear foot

  • Glazed folding window: $240 per linear foot

  • Standard folding window and swing door: $1,000 per linear foot

  • Folding window and sliding door: $2,000 per linear foot
