"This company, JMC, was a real pleasure to work with. I needed a pocket-door put in our home. Outstanding work, on time, on budget, and with individuals who knew exactly what they were doing. They ensured I was 100% satisfied with their work prior to finalizing the project. They also completely broke down all material & labor costs for me."

"This company JNR builders was excellent to work with. Rigo got right with me and gave me the price to replace my wind turbines re-seal around all of my vent pipes and around my skylights (4) . They did the Maintenance that my roof needed. Especially after the terrible wind storm that we had in Cruces on February 26,3023. They also painted everything (vents etc.) on the roof so everything matches now! I can definitely recommend using JNR Builders. They did such a good job I am going to get a bid from them to add a small space on an existing structure. Thank you Rigo and JNR builders for charging a fair price and doing a great job! Keith"

Customers say: Quality work

"I am very satisfied with the work and with the customer service from Schueller Homes. I had only one issue, which was that their initial quote was 20% less than the final invoice for the project. However, Dan and Pam were willing to work with me on an agreed upon final price for this project."

"Sentri Homes provided the most professional flooring service I’ve ever had. The LVP installation turned out absolutely beautiful, and I was amazed at how quickly everything was completed without sacrificing quality. The crew was fast, accurate, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Everything was installed cleanly, precisely, and with real craftsmanship. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far beyond what I expected. I would absolutely recommend Sentri Homes to anyone needing flooring installed."

Barndominium Builders questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use a storage shed several ways, including as a chicken coop, but you'll need to make some modifications. You will have to add a chicken door, roosts, ventilation near the roof, mesh on the windows, and insulation if you live in a colder climate. Additionally, you’ll want to ensure that the shed is predator-proof so no other animals can harm your chickens. You should also add a run and nest boxes to your shed.

Choosing a suitable backyard playset that’s age-appropriate and entertaining for your children is worth the cost. A backyard playset you can update and upgrade as your kids grow offers even more benefits. Although a playset won’t substantially increase your home’s value, it won’t negatively affect it either.

Yes, barn doors can be too heavy, although the limitation is usually imposed by the mounting hardware you buy and not your home’s framing, unless you’re building an unusually wide door. To keep the weight down, you can opt for 1-by material rather than 2-by material, and choose a softwood like pine rather than a hardwood like maple or oak. Check the weight limits on your mounting hardware, and always attach your door track to studs rather than to drywall anchors.

Pole barns and carports are similar in that they rely on posts for support and are often not connected to a primary structure. The main difference between the two is that pole barns usually include walls that surround the entire perimeter of the structure, while carports generally remain open on three or four sides. It’s possible to insulate garage doors and even exterior walls on pole barns to create a comfortable workspace, and it’s a bit more secure for storage purposes. However, carports are more affordable.

Any type of construction that damages a tree’s roots via soil compaction can be dangerous, and is one of the primary causes of mature tree death in residential areas. Simply putting lots of weight on the ground around the tree, like construction supplies, trailers, and equipment, can kill roots near the surface. Of course, installing new foundations, patios, or utility lines can cut through nearby tree roots. Accidentally striking a tree with equipment or supplies is rarely a problem, but can cause damage of its own, too.
