"PURCHASED FROM A TUFF SHED DEALER in ABQ, NM. So many exposed nails on inside from a ‘missed the stud scenario’. There is one area where the screw attaching the outside vertical component of the shed to the floor of the shed was not screwed in completely, an 1/4” space existed between the side wall and the floor. Every nail/ screw in the manufacture of the building is not redundant. This represents a compromise in the structural integrity of the Tuff Shed. These are the company’s policies. EXCELLENCE POLICY: Taking all necessary steps to create the best products and supply the best services. INTEGRITY POLICY: Living up to our promises, commitments and responsibilities. Both of their policies were not fulfilled in construction of my shed!!"

"You should probably add 4-6 weeks to the expected delivery date if you expect to need the "enclosed" hardware. I received the blinds in the estimated time, but it came without the required hardware. I have made 4 calls (at least) over several weeks, but the hardware is nowhere in site. It is clear that SelectBlinds.com is a marketing company only has outsourced all production and fulfillment to third parties and evidently has a difficult time coordinating these type of customer service issue. Extremely frustrating that my blinds have been sitting in the floor for over a month and all I need is a few screws. Happy to go to Home Depot to get the screws, but SelectBlinds can't even tell me what sizes I need."

Yes, egress windows are grandfathered. However, this comes with some specifications. If you are remodeling a basement or adding a sleeping area, you’ll need to update the egress windows to be up to proper code. But, if you’re leaving your home as is, you do not have to adhere to these requirements.

Glass block windows aren’t fire hazards; fire-rated glass block windows can increase your home’s fire safety. Modern glass blocks are made with materials that can resist high temperatures and prevent fire spread. Most offer a 45-minute fire rating, while some increase it to two hours. Compared to the typical 20 to 90 minute rating for a double-pane window, glass block can increase your home’s safety in the event of a fire.

Basements are generally required to have windows for your safety. At a minimum, windows should provide an egress in the event of a fire. But basement windows do more than offer a way out; basement windows also offer natural light and ventilation in an area of your home that is otherwise dark and musty.

You can add any type of window to a brick house, so long as the window has proper support. Windows with wider openings and windows in brick walls will need a lintel to support the extra weight above the window frame. A lintel is a support beam that distributes the weight from above evenly around the window.

Bifold windows work by using a track that allows panels to slide to the side and "stack" so they take up minimal space, leaving the largest opening. The sashes connect to each other with butt hinges or concealed hinges and to the window frame with the same type of hinges you’d find on a casement window. Some manual bifold windows also have casement stays or another piece of hardware to keep your windows in place when they’re open.
