"The men arrived on time. The original assessment was that the interior wall would have to be cut open and wainscoting removed then replaced in order to access the pipes. However they first tried to remove the faucet from the outside wall and were able to do so. The faucet was replaced at minimal cost and in a short period of time. They were very polite and left no mess. I have used Eddie B for several years and will continue to use them in the future. Thanks Eddie B."

"I received exceptional service from 2 Guys Plumbing and heating, marked by technicians who were punctual, courteous, and efficient, effectively addressing all my concerns, which resulted in extreme satisfaction and a high recommendation. We even had them come back to put in new toilets, new pipes in laundry room, add utility sink, and fix outside faucet. Wish I had known about them sooner! "They came in with their team and went right to work. Only a portion of the basement needed to be waterproofed. They drilled out a 10-inch wide portion of the concrete floor, put stones, pipe, more stones and re-concreted that portion of the floor. Painted that wall with waterproof paint leaving me the rest of the painting to do (my choice). Drilled a hole at the bottom of each cinderblock which drained into a grey baseboard material which then drained into the pipe and flowed into the sump pump. Replaced the old basement window and placed concrete around it. Installed a sump pump, placed the pipe through the wall, placing the water exit pipe into a flower bed. Adding a circuit breaker dedicated to the sump pump. They described everything they were going to do prior to the job and everything they did at the completion of the job. Also, explaining how the sump pump worked. The total cost was $4200.00. The best part they cleaned up after. Oh and before they did anything they placed plastic all around so as not to ruin anything in the basement. I did not have to lift a finger."

"Drytech contacted me about my inquiry for a drain system in my driveway. We set up a date and time. The company called the day before â to confirm the time. The representative arrived on time. We discussed the issues w/ my driveway, and my concerns. After discussions he told me that I probably did not need a drain system. While he did not complete any work for based (because of his honesty) I was impressed with his questions, the time he spent with me and how pleasant he was. He left me his card and informed me what issues to look for."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Food grease, soap buildup, paper products, and tree roots often cause serious clogs.

Drain pipes carry wastewater from sinks, toilets, showers, and other fixtures to the main sewer line. They’re typically located within the walls and floors and beneath a home’s foundation. Meanwhile, sewer pipes transport collected wastewater to a septic tank or a municipal sewer system.

No, you should not see water in a sewer cleanout. If you do, it could indicate that you have a block or leak in your main sewer line—which can cause sewage to back up inside your home and potentially flood your yard. Your best bet is to call a local sewer cleaner if you notice any water or sewage around your cleanout.

To clean gunk out of a sink drain, pour in a half cup of baking soda, then 1 cup of white vinegar. The two will react chemically; let them fizz for 15 minutes, then rinse with boiling water. Repeat these steps if necessary for particularly dirty sink drains, and consider a drain snake if there are clogs.

It is okay to use a drain auger on a toilet, just make sure you are using the correct tip size. The auger is a plumbing snake with a protective sleeve to protect the porcelain toilet bowl from getting scratched. Using too large of an auger can cause the snake to loop back and damage the inside of the drain and plumbing.
