"Prompt, reliable, and professional service. Good communication with Steve via email and Dennis on site before, during, and after the project was completed. Fair price for the job and good workmanship. I have already recommended them to others. I had them replace the railing, treads, and bottom platform of an outdoor staircase leading up to a second story deck."

"Initially, I thought that the price was a little high, but after we saw the quality of the work performed, I had no complaints. Derek and crew spent substantial time prepping the ceiling and walls and the excellent results showed it.  Great care was taken to cover furniture and rugs.  Derek was very professional and a pleasure to work with.  I would definitely use him again and would recommend him to others.

Danette is the person you'll talk with in scheduling appointments. She is very friendly and helpful and a pleasure to talk with.  Her husband, Jenk, came to my home to give an estimate for taking down an existing fence and replacing it with white vinyl.  He arrived promptly and was friendly, yet very professional in measuring and explaining the quality of the product he installs.  He was very helpful in trying to save me money on this project and in keeping the price affordable.  Jenk was also kind enough to perform a couple of tasks which were necessary before the job could be done.  I had read many reviews about fence installers and Jenk came very highly recommended and lived up to all the comments I had read.  His estimate was the best I received, but I think I would have chosen his company, even if it wasn't, because of his sincerity in wanting to do the best job possible to please his customers.

I hired Express Fencing to install over 425 feet of vinyl privacy fencing.  The workers were very efficient, quiet, hard working men who stayed well past dark to get the job done.  They did a beautiful job with the fence and left my property looking far better than when they started.  Jenk was there at the beginning of the project to mark out the fence and get the job started and was there the last day to install gates and finishing touches to  make sure the job was finished to perfection.  You can tell that he has pride in his work and will go out of his way to make his customers happy.  You won't be disappointed in hiring this company, I highly recommend Express Fencing.

Deck Maintenance questions, answered by experts

In many areas, a floating deck that isn’t connected to your home and stays under 200 square feet and below 30 inches in height may not need a permit. These freestanding structures are often considered low-risk, which can simplify the building process. However, building codes vary greatly based on location. Before investing in any home improvement project, check with your local permitting office for deck-building guidelines.

It depends on the type of wood. The average cost to build a deck out of pressure-treated lumber is $15 to $25 per square foot, but more affordable varieties such as bamboo and cedar cost less at around $3 to $10 per square foot. However, when comparing the cost of vinyl decking versus wood decking, it’s important to also consider ongoing maintenance costs. For example, most woods require regular sealing to keep them protected against weather and rot.

Yes, it is possible to add an under-deck drainage system to an existing deck by retrofitting it to the structure. This process may require some prep work. For example, many drainage systems are installed on top of the deck joists, which would require you to remove the decking boards and railings first. To avoid this, you could opt for a below-the-joist drainage system. For best results and to ensure proper installation, it is recommended to consult a professional. A pro can inspect your deck, make any necessary repairs, and then install the drainage system correctly.

Yes, designing builds to fit space constraints and meet functional needs.

Generally, a patio is more accessible than a standard deck because patios are constructed at ground level. However, decks can be made accessible by adding a wheelchair-accessible ramp, a vertical lift, or a stair lift along the entry. An ADA-compliant deck ramp costs about $3,000 on average. The additional investment will provide a much friendlier experience for your guests with movement impairments.
