Absolutely, positively spectacular.  Derek was always responsive, incredibly professional and very, very easy to deal with, which was especially important for us as out-of-town owners who could not be on site when the work was being done.  For example, when Derek's team found a leaking water line during moving the refrigerator to paint, they shut the water off and and notified me by email immediately.  Finished product was first rate and meticulously performed. Would recommend or use again in a heartbeat.

He was wonderful. He done better than the people who had painted it before. The house is close to the beach and the paint had bubbled. He got rid of all the bubbles. He did a great job. He is honest and very fair priced. He really listened to what I needed and knew I was selling the house.  He was always on time and is terrific and I can't say enough about him. He is the best I have ever had and wish he was in New Jersey. I would give him an A+ overall.

We are completely satisfied with A+ Professional Painting, their work, their crew and the difference it has made in our home.  The crew was punctual and did the work as described on their estimate: (1) they caulked, spackled & sanded EXTENSIVELY, (2) the precision of their lines was RIDICULOUS and (3) at the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves.  I would describe our job as particularly difficult given the over-sized rooms, the 25+ foot ceilings in the foyer and living room and the picture frame moulding used extensively in the foyer.  A+ Professional Painting exceeded our expectations and our home looks AMAZING!  These guys are the BMW's of interior painting.  We will use them again and we will be recommending them to our neighbors and friends.

Initially, I thought that the price was a little high, but after we saw the quality of the work performed, I had no complaints. Derek and crew spent substantial time prepping the ceiling and walls and the excellent results showed it.  Great care was taken to cover furniture and rugs.  Derek was very professional and a pleasure to work with.  I would definitely use him again and would recommend him to others.

The work was performed well; time frame one day.  I was pleased with the response of Derek to my inquiry and his work.  The price was reasonable for both services.

The odds were against A+ Professional Painting Services when Derek DeVivo showed up to our house to quote the work that we needed done.  After getting burned by a painting service that we believed was capable of doing the job in the first place we questioned our ability to make decisions and were skeptical of every contractor that came to quote the work we needed to get our house back in shape.  Furthermore, whomever was awarded our job was doomed to work ?under a microscope? ? our reaction to the circumstances that got us into the position we were already in. It?s not easy for a contractor to work for detail oriented people and having to work for detail oriented people who?ve been burned is about as hard as it gets. 
When he arrived to estimate our job Derek carefully looked over every room and listened while we strayed into angry conversation about what the other painter did to our house.  He was sympathetic and professional in his approach and that immediately won us over.  In fact, after meeting with him we were so confident that he would rescue us from the mess we were in that we had mentally hired him, so it was a very long week for us while we waited for his quote.  While we waited we worried that Derek?s quote would be too high or that he?d decide to pass on our job.  After all, Derek is smart, perceptive, and has a good business sense (we saw that in him the day he came out to estimate our job).  Why would he, or any other thriving painting contractor take a job in which the homeowner is likely going to be questioning everything he did, watching over his shoulder every step of the way?
While we don?t know exactly what compelled Derek to take our job, we do know that he didn?t back down from the challenge and we?re forever grateful for that.
Derek and Brad showed up on the agreed upon date, on time, and ready to work.  The job consisted of repairing damage to the walls caused by wallpaper removal (quite a bit of it), significant damage to the walls/ceilings caused by the previous contractor?s attempts to repair them, skim coating, patching, prepping moldings for paint, and painting ceilings, trim, and doors in approximately 2/3 of our house.  They were organized and systematic in their approach to the job and took measures to protect our floors and furniture.  While you might expect these things from a painting contractor I can tell you from firsthand experience that these are not things to take for granted.  Derek and Brad were able to do what a team of five painters couldn?t do before them AND without making a mess or leaving one thing out of place when they were done!
Both men worked together on small sections of our house at a time so as to minimize the inconvenience to us.  They asked where they could stage their equipment each time they moved to a different section of the house and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. On a day that we were home while they were working we didn?t hear a radio blaring throughout the house, didn?t hear offensive language from them, and didn?t witness them leaving our house to go to another job or out on
estimates.  We just listened as they worked cooperatively, focused on the task at hand and answered any questions they had along the way.  It was EXACTLY the kind of experience you expect to have when you hire someone to work in your home.
 As you might have guessed we went over their work with a fine tooth comb every night after they were done.   What we learned while doing this was that Derek and Brad had a great eye for detail and were making strides in fixing the mess that was left for them.  Still, just by the sheer scope of what there was to do, there were things that they either hadn?t noticed or hadn?t gotten to that we wanted brought to their attention.  And although we had every right as paying customers to bring these things up we were nervous that we would say too much or push too far and that Derek and Brad would leave our job undone
like the previous contractor had.  Nonetheless (almost) every day (again, because of the sheer number of repairs that needed to be made) we presented Derek with a list of things that we wanted to see addressed.    
And every day Derek and Brad took care of these things and then some without complaint.  They just stepped up and did the work.  A lesser person might have taken these lists as criticism of his work but Derek knew better than that, and if he didn?t, he certainly conducted himself in a manner that indicated otherwise.  A true professional through-and-through.

First project: Derek arrived quickly with a quote and was able to provide me with an acceptable timeline for scheduling.  He returned the do the work over a few days as much filling, drying, and sanding was needed.  The finished product well exceeded my expectations.  All wall and ceiling damage was corrected.  It was truly a night and day difference. 
Second project: Because I was so pleased with the bedroom, Derek was rehired to paint two bathrooms.  When the first bathroom fell behind schedule, Derek had no problem adjusting his schedule around the delay.  He was able to complete both bathrooms on the new schedule and again to my liking.  I would hire him again for any painting needs and would recommend him to friends and family.

This is the first review I've ever written and have to say Derek did a fantastic job painting my home.  Derek is a honest, hardworking guy who did a beautiful job on our home.  He was on time, very professional and was completely trustworthy!  I was not there the entire time but left the key and remote to my home with him.  He finished painting, cleaned everything up and left the house just as I would have.  My walls have rounded corners which are hard to paint when going from room to room with different colors but he did it effortlessly.  I was so satisfied with the beautiful painting he did we had him back two months later to paint the first floor of our home.  I would highly recommend using A+ Professional Painting - you will be very pleased you did!

After talking to several painters, I hired A+  to strip wallpaper and paint several rooms in my house in preparation for resale. The service, price and quality of workmanship was exceptional. The work needed presented a few special challenges -- restoring damaged wall surfaces and matching discontinued paint colors -- but the time and attention  was given to overcome the obstacles and get the job done right. I would not hesitate to use this provider again.

Derek showed up on time, was extremely neat with his work, was very accomodating to my requests, worked diligently to complete the job. Would hire him again. I would recommend him to anyone who is particular about a painting job.

We could not be happier!!!  Everything that Derek did was as planned and at the estimated price. he is trustworthy and professional at all times.  What impressed me the most is how aware he was of our time.  He worked in stages so the job was spread out over 2 weeks but there was no down time.  This enabled us to continue with our lives.  Our dog enjoyed the company too!!!

They were prompt, professional,efficient and easy to talk with about the job. Their work was meticulous and at the end of each day their tools were cleaned and organized neatly for the next day. Derek's estimate was fair and competitive. I had a newly finished wood floor that I was worried would become paint splattered and Derek was reassuring that would not happen and took great care while doing the job. I did not like one of the colors I chose after I saw it on one of the walls and Derek was instrumental in helping me decide what to do. He was informative and understanding and ultimately I stuck with the color for the rooms already painted but changed the color for the rest of the job. Derek was very fair minded. A wooden piece of a window frame needed to be repaired and Derek and his assistant handled that with no problem and did a beautiful job. The finished job was beautiful. there was not a trace of their presence except for newly painted walls, trim and ceilings. All in all the whole experience with A+Professional Painting was a positive one and I would highly recommend this company and these professional painters to anyone. I was highly satisfied.
