"We've used WG in the past and had great experiences, and this time was no different. Greg got back to me the same day and set up a time that week to come out for an estimate. He went over all of the available options, what would work best, what wouldn't, etc. The end price was more than reasonable and worth every penny. The crew that came to replace our roof were on time (early, actually) and got right to work. They were extraordinarily polite and courteous. They took the time to make sure all of the bushes and flowers were protected before even going up to work. They cleaned up as they went, too, and the yard and driveway were totally free of any debris and nails when they were finished. The end result looks great and we know it will last."

"Elias was not only an expert in everything but he was courteous and perfect results of all work done. The price was more than fair and the owner Eric was a true gentleman. This job was done solely by his foreman Elias and everything went off without a hitch!! If you need a contractor call Big E, I know I will for any future work needed. "We were very happy with the work performed.  Clean, efficient, and great quality.  Kitchen and bathroom was done first in 2012.  The roof and siding was done some years later.   We are now working with John to renovate one of our businesses.  "

"I hired Roeland Home Improvers because Arnie and John really impressed me with their knowledge and experience. I am very happy with my completed master bath. They did everything they promised. We had one small glitch when my faucets were delivered in the wrong color. Although this was my problem, Beth from the main office got Amazon to replace them with an expedited order. This team was very easy to work with and very responsive. I would definitely recommend them."

"I wqill mprobably wait bThe meeting and ensuing discussions went very well. George is a big likeable guy who sticks to the facts and does not  exert any pressure on the potential customer. He outlined an engineering solution to invasive moisture and foundation erosion by building a sub-terainian trench around the house and inserting high quality  plastic piping to sustain a continued drain-off of the moisture. The  solution by its very nature is labor intensive and I thought that the price of approximately $3500 was reasonable. I currently do not have this problem so awhile. If i had water in my basement, I don't think I would hesitate.

Egress Windows questions, answered by experts

Because egress windows are meant for emergency exiting and entering, they need to be an accessible size. The smallest an egress window is allowed to be is 15 inches in width and height, with an opening of around 4 square feet.

Finding a reputable contractor for an egress window installation involves researching and vetting potential candidates. Start by searching for local professionals, reading customer reviews, and checking their websites for a portfolio of their work.

Once you have a shortlist, ask the following questions to ensure they are qualified:

• Are you licensed and insured?

• What experience do you have installing egress windows?

• Can you provide references from previous customers?

• Do you perform the work yourself or use subcontractors?

• What is the estimated project timeline and your current schedule?

• How do you handle payment?

Yes, you absolutely need a permit to add a window to your house. Your contractor can likely obtain this permit on your behalf. Ask about this when getting quotes from multiple window contractors.

Yes, you can always make an existing window bigger, but the job complexity varies widely depending on the location of the window and the framing around it. Exterior walls are always load-bearing, so making windows wider will require structural changes that make for a more complex but doable project. Making windows taller often won’t require structural changes.

Most professionals can install a window well in two to three days, depending on the size of the well and the window you want inside it. If you’re just replacing an existing window well, the work is much less intensive, and most experts can get the job done in just one day. Connecting the window well to a drainage system or installing a custom concrete window well will naturally take longer, but even the most complicated installations shouldn’t take more than three days.
