"I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and expertise of the company. They always communicated promptly and fully explained the nature of their procedures and the reasons why things were being done a certain way, based on their years of experience. The procedure took at least two visits to complete, with the need for the decks to dry fully before painting. They were very friendly and did several little extras free of charge. 
I would use them again, and plan to in the near future. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for indoor or outdoor painting services.

Whether you can paint over your existing paint depends on what’s on there. Most of the time, you’ll want to sand down or scrape off the paint that’s currently coating your surface. Additionally, thick layers of stain are prone to peeling, cracking, and blistering as they struggle to bond with the surface. 

You’ll want to avoid excessively hot or humid conditions, so it’s best to apply your stain in late spring to early fall. It's also important to watch the weather forecast and aim for days when there isn’t rain expected for at least three days. For new decks, allow the wood to season beforehand for at least four to eight weeks.
