"Abra-Cadabra was excellent. I would hire them again. They charge you the quote and do not add extra fees. They are polite and professional. The owner is on every job. I was able to book next day service. They arrived early and were done in about 20 minutes. I could not have removed the heavy, bulky treadmill myself. They are worth ever penny."

"I needed a last minute junk removal company when I moved office locations on 5/28/26 and I chose Junk Take Away. I can't say enough good from the start to the end. It started with Kelly calling me to set up the date and time and was followed by Eddie and his buddy removing everything in a timely manner, they cleaned up after themselves and they were very respectful young men. I will definitely be using Eddie and his team again in the future."

"Carlos was hired to remove a tremendous amount of poison ivy from my garden beds. I was extremely pleased with Carlos’ work and attention to detail. He was professional, efficient, provided helpful recommendations for maintenance, and completed work timely. Worth mentioning: not knowing who to call for help, once contacted, Carlos took ownership of my problem and due to my urgency to address quickly, it was resolved within days. AWESOME Customer Service. I highly recommend Carlos and his company."

"We hired Home Turf to knock down our shed and a spring clean up. They came a little after nine. They had the shed down and out quickly considering the base of the shed required some time to get it up and removed. Did a great job also with the spring clean up. Both were reasonable. They will now be cutting our lawn bi-weekly. If you are looking for a a landscaper that offers a variety of services I would highly recommend them."

"I had an old refrigerator, microwave and some other things to be removed from my backyard. Robert was the original guy I I contacted. We talked pricing and then arranged a Time for pickup. Vinny was the worker that came out on time I may add he introduced himself and got straight to work it took him about not even 15 minutes to get all the stuff on the trailer. We talked for a bit and he informed me that they were a construction company that also did repairs and to keep them in mind if I ever needed anything which I will I've added them to my contact list. I think Robert and Vinny are phenomenal guys. They were both professional and friendly at the same time. I gave them five stars but that really not enough to describe how they made me feel like a special and valued customer. So this is my personal rating; 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Satisfaction! πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€— Friendliness! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸΏ Getting the job done!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Unfortunately, lead dust does not look different from any other type of dust. You cannot detect it with the naked eye. To determine if you have lead dust in your home, you will need to hire a local company to take a sample from the paint and test it for you in a lab.

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.

Lead removal services typically cost between $1,000 and $5,000, depending on the extent of lead presence, the property size, and the complexity of the abatement process.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.

You can sell a house with lead paint, but there are several requirements. If you are aware that lead paint exists anywhere in the home, you must disclose that to potential buyers. Required home inspections will often uncover lead paint, especially for older houses where lead paint may still be a problem. If you have taken steps to encapsulate lead, you should provide buyers with full documentation of the project so it won’t cause any problems later on.
