"John was very professional, punctual, quick, and extremely skilled. I had gotten a few quotes. He was very honest and fair. He is a very hard worker and the work was perfect. He even painted a few areas on the stairwell that were not evenly matched. He was a lifesaver actually. I highly recommend John at Dominic’s Painting."

"Rick and his crew were absolutely fantastic. Extremely responsive and explained everything to me as we went. I had just closed on a new home and had them come in to fix up the walls, ceilings, trim, etc. I went out of town for the holidays and they worked while I was gone. When I returned the place looked amazing and the house was in better shape than when they arrived. Don t bother looking anywhere else, call Rick today!"

"Pat and his team were, by and large, fantastic. They executed on all aspects of the original quote flawlessly. The ribbon pointing around the stonework, especially in the front part of the house, turned out very nice. We're extremely happy with how the masonry looks. It went so smoothly, we added additional work onto the quote to seal the concrete and touch up paint along the exterior of the house. The painting wasn't as neat or clean as it could have been - it's probably a little step above what I could have done. Mostly importantly, when we encountered a couple of problems along the way, they were responsive and went above and beyond to sort it out. I think they approached the whole project very well, and even worked with us on the price for the add-ons. All-in-all, super solid work from a super solid contractor. Highly recommended."

"They really are not that good because the work they did started to deteriorate quickly after they did it. They came back and resolved the problem but they also did additional work; they really are not the best painters. The price was very reasonable and they also did some exterior painting for me as well. The interior painting was not as professional as I thought it could have been but they were quick to respond to my needs. They were punctual."

"Excellent! First time using this firm but it won't be the last. One of the most professional painters we have hired. Our 94 year old home has been extensively renovated over the 57 years I have lived here. This man was the first to contact us for a quote out of 3 potential businesses. He traveled quite a distance to do our work. His work was beautiful...very detailed, very professional. I wish we would have found him earlier. Finally, a painter that knows "how" to paint. Thank you Antonio for helping us out. I might also mention, we increased the amount of work we wanted done and it was no problem for Antonio and he did NOT price it out of our budget. Truly, a pleasure to work with."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

It’s often best to spray on deck sealer. Sprayers can apply sealant more quickly and evenly than rolling while still enabling you to reach tight spaces. When using a sprayer, always use a low-pressure setting at a close distance to ensure an even application. Avoid using sprayers on windy days.

Yes, they provide design insights that enhance space utility and visual appeal.

You may be wondering: can you paint cement? Fortunately, the answer is yes.

To change the color of your cinder blocks, you have two options. You can either paint them or stain them. Either way, you'll be able to choose from a wide range of color options. Some popular colors for cinder block painting include off-white shades and gray tones, which add a modern spin to the traditional gray blocks.

Pricing depends on prep work, paint/stain choice, area size, scaffolding needs, and detailed trim inclusions like precision-balanced windowsills.

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood, as this helps prevent the surface from cracking. However, it is crucial to wait for the wood to dry out completely from the chemical treatment process before applying a finish. If the wood is still wet, the paint will not adhere properly. The drying time can range from weeks to six months. To test if the wood is ready, drip some water onto a board. If the water is absorbed, the wood is dry enough for painting or staining. If the water beads up on the surface, it needs more time to dry. You can build with the wood while it's still wet, but you must wait for it to dry before painting.
